Curious about the views from the VIP sections. The front of the Pink stage, but seems like a pretty side view of the Black Stage/MCR. Also the VIP for Checker Stripes looks oddly placed right in between the two stages, but maybe that's just a map flaw as opposed to the actual layout.
It's almost like this festival is funded by a faceless corporation that doesn't give a shit about music, the fans, or anything other than making money...
Btw just some advice. Its not usually wise to book hotels this far in advanced. You're not getting the best price and in a city like Vegas I wouldn't be as stressed about availability
This is bad advice for huge events the prices always go way up. Check what people are paying for this year who booked late
Agreed. All i know is my $500 room has been $1500 for a few months now and my room next year is $88/nighr + resort fees. Could it be less at the sweet spot in between? Maybe, but its well within my budget now to book and be 100% in.
People have it so built up in their mind that it's going to fail that it's going to look embarrassing if it it isn't
they're allowing re-entry. so even if vendors pulled out, you can walk to literally anywhere and get a drink or food. it's not that big of a deal, really, if true.
and what does "many headliners" even mean? aren't there only 2 headliners? Blink and Green Day have both promoted it on their social media... haha the internet sure is fun
This is either gonna go super smoothly Saturday and I’m gonna have a blast or if the conspiracy theorists are right and it’s a shit show then I’ll have one hell of a story and can just retire from festivals since I’m 30!
Unless they're calling the stage closers the headliners? Blink and Green Day have been confirmed for months and months lol
actually, the stuff that the vendors will be selling will probably be super expensive anyway, so actually going across the street to get food and drinks might be better anyway. unless your schedule is like mine and there's no gap between bands to even think about getting food.
Can’t wait until a bunch of people that have either never gone to a fest or haven’t gone in a long time start crying on twitter about what a shit show it is that they had to wait 10 minutes for a beer
"I missed [insert band name here] because I had to stand in line forever just to get a beer! I demand a refund! #fyrefest2"
Imagine panicking and trying to sell your tickets 3 days before the fest because someone said that some vendors are pulling out and next year's lineup wasn't supposed to be released... Some people are just plain idiots
Yea... I've waited an hour for beer at a festival before. The drink tents look to be within hearing shot of stages, so if you're that thirsty, you listen while you wait. I get it's an insane lineup that on paper, seems to good to be true, but many people are SO up for seeing this fail that it's just weird at this point. I'll be in Vegas with my homies so there's not much (barring things I won't even tempt mentioning) that could go wrong that would make me regret it in any way. At the very least, it's happening and you can check out progress pics online of it being set up (mostly on reddit). The drink lines being long may be a good thing as with how packed it appears it's going to be, I may be uncomfortable getting too fucked up and having to deal with crowd flow. That's just my only concern. It says 85,000 is the capacity online but it may be reduced with the number of stages as I don't think it's normally set up with 5 stages like this. Either way, may be a good idea to keep my wits about me a little bit but i know that will all go out the window when I start chugging drinks on the monorail on the way over...
