The leaked set times were a little better for me because I got to squeeze in some AAR before Poppy. Oh well. Now the only clash I need to decide is Bright Eyes vs Manchester Orchestra
Honestly if I were going I would have no issues except a brutal brutal brutal brutal Avril vs Poppy (and somewhat All american rejects). Id pick Avril but man that would be a huge loss. Those 2 were easily top 5. I'm prepared for some brutal choices for 2022.
That schedule would be pretty close to perfect for me if I could go. There'd be a good opportunity for an early lunch break for me between HH and Dashboard (though I'd probably make my way over to Starting Line as well), and then a dinner break after TBS and before Bright Eyes (but with a 'hang in the back and listen casually Avril stop while I eat). Then I could wrap up the night nicely with Alkaline Trio, Paramore, and MCR. I've never gotten hugely into Thursday but would be kind of bummed missing the chance to see them and see what catches my ear from them...but Paramore would have to take precedence for me.
Honestly, this all looks way better for me than I would have anticipated. Probably not worth the trip to Vegas given how short some of those set times but... Would be an undeniably fun day!
The conflicts honestly aren’t that awful but I say that having already seen JEW, MO, Thursday and Bright Eyes this year haha. The bands I’ll be skipping are all ones where there are really just a handful of songs I’d love to hear and who knows if they’ll even play those
There are a couple overlaps that I’m kinda bummed about, but I think this will end up being my schedule. 11:50-12:20 THE LINDA LINDAS 1:00-1:30 ACCEPTANCE 2:15-2:45 THE STARTING LINE 2:55-3:25 ARMOR FOR SLEEP 3:15-3:45 GLASSJAW 3:45-4:15 SENSES FAIL 4:10-4:50 THE USED 4:50-5:30 AFI 5:30-6:10 JIMMY EAT WORLD 6:10-6:50 TAKING BACK SUNDAY 6:45-7:15 THE STORY SO FAR 7:35-8:15 AVRIL LAVIGNE 8:15-8:55 BRIGHT EYES 9:05-9:45 ALKALINE TRIO 9:40-10:40 PARAMORE 10:40-XXX MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE
Now that I can do this without jinxing myself lol, top 5 I’m most excited for that I’ve never seen before: 1. MCR (duh) 2. Anberlin 3. Glassjaw 4. AFI 5. Alkaline Trio honorable mention: Senses Fail
if I were going that we the kings/mayday parade/boys like girls/story of the year/acceptance/anberlin/starting line/red jumpsuit apparatus/the ready set block would be brutal… all the bands I’d want to see play in the span of like three hours haha
We're the same from Glassjaw on unless my buddy I'm going with talks me into something haha (except I'm gonna sit my ass down while you watch TSSF). See ya out there
I’m totally down for a Chorus meet up somewhere if we all have a common gap between bands or something.
Same! But schedules are gonna be wild and packed lmao so it might just be a "hey look for the dude wearing x" situation
Typing this as I watch Midtown cover When You Were Young opening for MCR in LA and I’m wondering why they aren’t on the bill for this weekend
I get to see 8 out of my top 10 so I’m pretty happy with how the set times went. I was worried I’d see 4 lol
Gabe’s saying a lot of stuff like “we never thought we’d ever play a show” and “this is the last time we’ll be playing a show like this” kind of banter from the stage, definitely doesn’t give off the vibe that they’ll do a bunch more shows in the future
Based on 2022 schedule, I can totally see Veronicas as a shoe in for the horrorpops/kittie stage ender spot. Lit and Michele branch as well. 2022 showed you that you can see the top 12 bands on the bill. For a festival, that's actually amazing and rare.
