I use these earplugs and they are pretty good https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018WPOQSG/?tag=absolutepunk-20
If I was going, this is what my day would be like: 1145-1215 Meet Me @ the altar 1250-120 Car Seat Headrest 130-2 Story of the Year 215-245 The Starting Line 3-330 3OH!3 4-430 The Wonder Years 445-515 Silverstein 515-545 The Maine 530-6 Knocked Loose 645-715 The Story So Far 735-815 Avril Lavigne 815-855 Bright Eyes 855-940 Bring Me the Horizon 940-1040 Paramore 1040-1155 My Chemical Romance Honestly not an awful day with very few conflicts.
Avril vs. AAR the only major conflict for me if this lineup holds true for 2nd weekend. Practicing my cardio because I’m gonna be hauling ass to get to some of these sets
My "best case scenario" schedule: 12:20-12:50 Saosin 13:00-13:30 Acceptance 13:45-14:15 Atreyu 14:30-15:00 Anberlin 15:05-15:35 Armor For Sleep 15:45-16:15 Senses Fail 16:45-17:15 Silverstein 17:30-18:10 JEW 18:00-18:30 Bayside 19:05-19:35 State Champs 19:35-20:15 Avril Lavigne (might go to Poppy or INK instead) 20:30-21:00 Sleeping With Sirens (will probably get food instead) 21:15-21:45 Dance Gavin Dance (will leave early for Paramore) 21:40-22:40 Paramore 22:45-23:15 Kittie (MCR will probably be a shit show with almost every single person there in the crowd)
I feel bad for Kittie, The Garden, and Horrorpops who undoubtedly will play for six people each weekend.
I’m gonna wait to make my schedule until the official release, hoping that maybe a couple conflicts go away lol (they won’t) Still considering doing Sun too but struggling to justify missing a half day of work and a slightly more expensive flight
Having already seen MCR on this reunion tour, never seeing Kittie before, and overall hating huge crowds, I would definitely pick Kittie as my closer. I'd imagine there will be a few thousand people who will either use that same logic or just end their day early after Paramore.
Thursday at the same time as paramore is brutal but i guess someone had to get that slot… also I hate that they are making me want to Show up at gates for wolf Alice
I'm not really that upset about any conflicts. There's a few I could bitch about, but it seems like it's actually pretty well thought out and leaves a lot of room to see a lot of stuff if (and this is a HUGE if), you can actually walk between stages with the crowds. I also hope there's drink tents near every stage so you can wait in line and still hear, vs a centralized drink area that's in the middle of nowhere sound wise. The map makes it look like plenty of booze spots by the stages but who knows what it'll actually look like. Also RE Ear plugs: - Big fan of these. Discreet with a tiny case and they do a pretty good job with sound. However, I have found that I don't typically need them at festivals as I never get close enough. I use them at all indoor shows and outdoor as needed. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018WPOQSG/?tag=absolutepunk-20
Yeah there’s a few conflicts for me with some tough choices, but essentially everyone I considered a must see I’ll be able to. Provided moving from stage to stage isn’t a complete nightmare, there’s pretty much someone I’m hyped to see literally from open to close.
Now that I've looked at what leaked in a bit more detail, it looks my day will be the below bar any on site logistics that are unseen to change this. I'm extremely happy if I get to see most of these bands. Saosin Hawthorne Heights Story of the year The Starting Line Anberlin (end of set maybe) Glassjaw This part gets a little fuzzy but Senses Fail / The wonder years conflict to decide on Silverstein Jimmy Eat World Bayside (end of set maybe) Four year Strong (end of set maybe) A Day to Remember Ice Nine Kills Wander around after my edibles have kicked in Bring Me The Horizon Thursday MCR (from the way back)
Dan from The Wonder Years said that in an interview too. He didn't really talk to other bands about it - all he knew is that the band got offered to play a festival in Vegas and My Chemical Romance was playing. He thought The Killers might play too because of the name of it.
yeah but they were booked just didnt know the extent of it which is much different than what skiba is saying
I think Skiba just didn’t know lol. Bands absolutely knew they had a Vegas date booked, they just didn’t know the lineup.
^ agreed. I get this is an extreme (and huge) lineup, but so many people (not necessarily in here, but just in general) are acting like this is the first festival ever and a total whacky experiment. It may not be perfect after all is said and done, but I've never thought that it wasn't real, that bands were booked without permission, or they'd be mass drop outs etc. It's a genre music festival like hundreds before it.
