Actually might be 6 stages, but their visual is so bad that the "Stage Dive" space can't really be seen.
Me too... If I have any conflicts then I will probably just choose to see the bands that play the smaller stages
Also debunks the whole "Paramore and MCR playing at the same time" theory people pulled out of thin air
I'm assuming Paramore, Avril Lavigne, Bright Eyes, and Jimmy Eat World will be on the Pink stage, and MCR, BMTH, and ADTR will be on the Black stage. Out of all of those bands, Avril is the only one on my "must see" list (since I've never seen her before) so hopefully I won't need to hang out at the main stages much at all (or the Neon stage... haha)
I went to a livenation festival (Primavera LA) the other week and they had the stages set up like that except the VIP area was just general 21+ (and waaaay bigger) and the under 21 section was all the way off to the side of the screen. It was funny seeing artists like Mitski where the whole under 21+ section was pushing, screaming and had their phones out while the adults were chill. anyway the kids were pissed and they changed the gates by the 3rd day. would not be a shocked if that happens here haha
It’s for this reason that I’m staying the fuck away from the main stage on day 1. Gonna use it to check out everything else. Might see if it’s possible to upgrade to VIP on day 2 and just chill at the main stage.
Yeah it was funny seeing the under 21 section going off for Girl In Red and the 21+ section was just chilling.
Usually at festivals, VIP doesn’t mean “i get up front” it means “I get my own more comfortable space with shade and AC and decent view”. That’s how it should be.
Especially for a festival where people crowdsurf. What are people supposed to do if they crowdsurf from the back through the right side? Who's catching them? Are they just getting put over the VIP barrier?
Probably had planned to have some space in between for bouncers/security to service the genera admission area though that would be hilarious if this ended up happening.
Gonna be getting a lot of FOMO by not going to this, but my best friends who were big into the scene at the time aren't so big on the bands like they were at the time. Which is a shame because we're all still best friends, which I would've thought would be the hard part of an emo reunion!
