I hope more events like this will slowly get announced. Going to Vegas for a one day festival without doing anything else besides that will suck. Also, I can't believe the WWWY lineup was announced months ago and so far there were no lineup changes. I expected bands to drop like flies.
To be fair. While I enjoy Vegas....bring money. Its a fun town but it requires lots of moolah to enjoy it. It's a solid 2 night place, anything more than that is painful in the wallet
Honestly just do area 15/ meow wolf. I just recently spent 5 nights at vegas and I found that to be the best thing to do
go in the off season and it's cheap as shit. you can get a $25 room right on the strip during christmas and whatnot haha.
I agree... I am going to have to pace myself as I'll be there for 5 nights... the most I've done is 4, and 3 is the sweet spot for me (thurs/fri/sat). My best friends got married there a few years ago, and it's their special place (they stayed for their honey moon), and they invite the gang back (whoever can go), once a year for their anniversary, and it just so happened to be during this festival weekend. Originally I was going in Thursday and flying out Monday (locked the hotel in the minute this was announced) but the festival sold out Saturday. I got a Sunday ticket, but don't want to leave the day after an all day concert so I'm going to fly out Tuesday.... The good thing is that an entire day will be taken up by the festival so no day time gambling but I am sure I'll drop $100+ on $11 beers. I also get in LATE Thursday so I don't count that night. Still... I like to gamble, I like to drink, I like to eat well so Vegas is always $$$ but I can't say that I don't absolutely love the place.
You can go to a bar a block off the strip and not pay those prices. I've seen a few really good shows in Vegas and recommend absinthe at Caesars if it's still running. Expensive though. Sunday you can post up somewhere and watch football.
Rooms are definitely very very cheap. Totally agreed. But I guess I'm saying to enjoy yourself. I love my $20 mojito in the fancy pools, and gambling, and shows, or desert atvs...but my wallet only allows maybe 2 days of that hah
Good god lol this sounds like a well over $2k weekend for you. I mean...amazingly fun so thats awesome...but yeah
I'm looking at maybe doing Saturday-Wednesday or something like that to take advantage of all the ~resort~ has to offer. I've never been to Vegas as an adult and I'm saving up so I can go all out, haha. With the cheap flight from Burbank I can use that savings towards the hotel.
And still doesn’t have that one crybaby band that was sad they didn’t get invited to play the festival. Ha
If Hellogoodbye is playing the 10/21 night, and the tickets are reasonable, I'll definitely check this out.
My friend said he spoke to some guy from Rookie Of The Year 3 months ago and he said that back then he already told him they have a show planned for that weekend in Vegas and that All Time Low were supposed to be a part of it as well.
From FB: When We Hungry Fest proudly welcomes The Dead Rabbitts, Hopes Die Last (FIRST U.S. SHOW SINCE 2008!), The Bunny The Bear, We Were Giants, Until the Dead Walk I imagine tickets will go out soon. https://www.whenwewerehungryfestival.com/
Now that I think riot fest kinda blows. I'm back in the wwwy fest sweepstakes. I'm highly considering it now. I mostly wanna see Paramore and avril in a mosh pit setting and I think this might be my only shot
I’m in the opposite position. Now that Riot is out I’m ready to sell my tickets to this. If anyone needs some weekend 2 tickets at face value HMU.
I thought the Riot Fest lineup would have enough crossover and not want to go to When We Were Young, but now that they're both out, I'm planning on doing both.
