I'll be there for car seat headrest!! I happen to miss them every time they come to my area But yeah I paid this much for mcr basically so add seeing even a few of the others bands on top of that and it's worth the price to me, even if I don't get to see everyone I want. But Vegas is also a relatively short flight from me and I've traveled there for much less exciting concerts so it's a no brainer for me.
Stole this from someone I follow on twitter. Pretty sure they are pretty accurate with this Set times are gonna be like: 5pm: Bright Eyes | JEW | Armor For Sleep | The Starting Line 5:35pm: The Used | Bayside | Senses Fail | Silverstein | Thursday 6pm: AFI | BMTH | ADTR | Avril 6:50pm: TBS | Dashboard | AK3 8pm: MCR | Paramore
I really wanted to go back to Vegas anyway so this is the perfect excuse. But I also live in Chicago and go to Riot Fest every year, and the conflicts for this are going to be just brutal.
This damn flyer is like every text and Instagram post/story I’ve seen today haha, it feels like my feed alone could sell this out
Honestly I'm so confused by this. Arguably its one of the best festival lineups in terms ever in terms of the demographic, but like.. it entirely misses the point by being a 1 day fest? People into "the scene" back then were probably into a majority of these bands. There's like 25 bands on there I'd wanna see. And I'm sure for some, almost every band is one they want to see. Its just flat out stupid. You'd think it was booked by a smaller promoter or something. So strange.
I feel this is going to be a sold out the same day tickets go on sale. Everybody on my social media is sharing it.
i agree. to me it seems like a cash grab because they know they can sell it out no matter what. they don't care if you don't get to see the bands you want to see. if they did, it would be multi-day
What if they had a festival, similar to this except for the older folks (Echo/Bunnymen, Smiths, Cure, etc....) Would it be the same thing? Older, yes. But the Gen X crowd could do it....
The Cure had a touring fest in 2004. Cure Announce Festival Tour With Interpol, Rapture, Mogwai Obviously the Smiths are never reuniting.
I just don’t get how they got so many bands to route to Vegas on the same day. Would Live Nation block smaller shows from happening the day before and after? Wonder how menu venues they operate in Vegas.
