Well that makes sense since you’d also rather see Owl City than The Story So Far haha. Underoath is the only band you listed that I would even consider seeing if they were on the lineup, including Relient K.
I like nearly the whole lineup, but if it wasn’t for Champs, TSSF, TWY, and FYS I wouldn’t be going to this. if anything I feel like the undercard needs *more* new pop punk bands. Real Friends, Handguns, fireworks and Man Overboard would all scratch that nostalgia itch for the tumblr generation and Driveways, lil lotus, heart attack man, and pinkshift would all be really cheap acts that could potentially be big draws early in the day.

He says he already has 3 reunions booked, which has me excited. But the whole post just sounds like he's really salty that WWWY stole his thunder lol
I mean, I would be too lol. between Bamboozle, riot fest, Furnace fest, punk rock bowling, and countless tours, there’s gonna be a lot of events and promoters with legitimate ties to the scene who are gonna be hurting because Live Nation threw an ungodly amount of money at all these bands.
The main guy behind WWWY was a booker in the hardcore & DIY scene back in the day. AND Bamboozle used to be run by Live Nation lol. Bamboozle wont be hurting in 2023 because of a festival in 2022 happening 3,000 miles away.
Almost no festival is going to be impacted by this one. This caters to a very specific set of people who are willing to travel to Vegas.
The resale market actually looks like crap for this. And with the extra day, I'd expect prices to drop reaaal fast.
Haha wow you're right, resale tickets dont seem to be much higher than what I actually paid. Just like Riot Fest last year, I'm expecting you'd be able to get a ticket for half the price the month of the fest.
The time elapsed between the year 1985 and the song 1985 is nearly the same as the time elapsed between the song and now Not a BFS slam, just a fact I realized, and if I had to then so do you
BFS doesnt seem to be the same draw as this crowd, but Im out of touch with the crowd going to see these bands. To me, BFS fits with Blink, FOB, Panic et al... More pop punk than punk pop? ETA - on Satellite Radio, I was digging Stacys Mom
They should take like 3-4 of the bands that weren't invited and do a pre-party on Friday. That would be so rad.
Bowling For Soup would’ve been perfect for this. I said it earlier in this thread, but they’ve had a slight resurge in popularity recently the last year or so thanks to memes and nostalgia, so doing this would’ve helped them tremendously But yeah. Maybe next year
The closest thing to Bowling for Soup on this line-up is Alkaline Trio and Avril Lavigne's "Sk8r Boi." Everything else is a far cry from their style of pop-punk. They would fit perfectly in that they did Warped Tour but beyond that? Not really. (Though being a part of that "scene" really seems to be the biggest requirement so...) If they are playing a long-game and planning year #2 already? I could see them bringing in New Found Glory, Less Than Jake, MxPx, and a few other Warped-approved "pop-punk" regulars. And Bowling for Soup would be a great fit for that.
bowling for soup the perfect band for those vaunted 20 minute sets the conspiracy people keep talking about because I can barely make 4 songs from them
