That's my issue. I can't get off the waitlist if the OG request isn't there. I'm concerned they will randomly charge and I don't want to make a 2nd request without knowing the original one is definitely gone.

 

good god. I got the email that my 10/22 waitlist is going to turn into a 10/29 ticket.

just made my 3rd hotel reservation in a week. I guess I'll take the 10/29 ticket + keep an eye on the resale market / figure out what to sell/resell and what hotels to cancel closer in...

 

Everyone who celebrated this scene as a teenager are adults now with children, careers and other responsibilities. It's much easier to organize a 2 night vacation to Vegas than to go to 20+ club shows throughout the year.

Can we assume there will be some sweet headline shows that interim week or should we assume the bands playing will be contractually obligated to not play elsewhere that week?

 

There might be some tiny room aftershows if all the other dates sellout, but it's more likely bands will just fill in some tour dates in the surrounding metro areas. (LA, Phoenix, Reno)

 

I still don’t know why Relient K isn’t playing this.

I’d swap out TSSF and Neck Deep for either 2 of the bands below:

Relient K, The Devil Wears Prada, A Static Lullaby, Underoath, Emery, Owl City, Meg and Dia, The Human Abstract, A Life Once Lost, Haste the Day

TSSF and Neck Deep are gonna be bigger draws for a slightly younger crowd, they're absolutely massive with modern pop punk fans. Totally makes sense why they're on the lineup.

 

They're massive for modern pop punk fans, yeah. I just see them out the outliers when the rest of the lineup seems geared for bands of the 00s. Neck Deep didn't release a full length until after MCR broke up lol

 

How bout keep TSSF and Neck Deep but take off jxdn, lil huddy, car seat headrest, and the other 3 or 4 random non pop punk artists no one over 30 has ever heard of, and replace them with relient k, underoath, the ataris, good charlotte, and motion city soundtrack.

 

car seat headrest doesn't deserve to be lumped in with those other two

 

Yeah, I'd rather see Car Seat Headrest over any of the bands you listed besides maybe Motion City Soundtrack.

 

Maybe not. But I’d never heard of them until this lineup was released haha.
