Anyone find a good Spotify playlist with all artists on the lineup yet? And not just one with the top 2-3 "hits" from each band. I suppose I could make one myself while I'm sitting here waiting lol
I totally agreed. I call the "weird" things I like "guiltless pleasures" because I don't feel guilty in the slightest haha. I love hardcore and punk music just as much as I love Taylor Swift and Hall & Oates. I couldn't care less if someone else thinks that's weird or whatever. I hate metal and lots of people love it, but I don't care.
Hell yeah, right on. Funny the two examples you used too - lifelong alternative music fan but I am a converted Taylor Swift fan as of the last few years, and have seen Hall & Oates live twice (including this past fall).
When Riot Fest sold out last summer single day tickets skyrocketed on Stubhub to $300 a day. Then the week of you could've grabbed a 3 day pass for $100. Some people will pay ridiculous amounts of money to avoid FOMO and not think rationally. I guarantee at some point in the next 9 months we'll have another short surge of Covid cases and tickets will plummet in that time frame.
This. A friend that couldnt make it to Riot sold her 3 day pass for $200 a few months before. I sold my 3 day pass for $50 the day Riot started and even with that price I had a hard time selling it lol
Lol yeah I learned my lesson the hard way. When 3 day passes sold out I bought individual day passes for the whole weekend. Was like $400!
Maybe it's just because I'm from So Cal and it's basically the trendiest city in the world, but i know dozens and dozens of people who grew out of this type of music well over a decade ago and thought it was just a phase but are now posting the flyer with #itsnotaphase and #emoneverdies lol.
My heart is beating so fucking fast rn, lmaoooo, no ticket drop has given me this much anxiety before
