My guess is Panic will be Brendon with hired guns. It's cool, but I saw the Fever lineup play Fever in full in 2006 since that's the only material they had hahaha
I'm assuming they'll be playing less songs from their last album and more deep cuts from Enema- untitled albums. It's crazy that none of the When we were young fests that Blink 182 has played they have been the true headliner.
blink-182 (the albums listed are good) all time low (so wrong, it's right) yellowcard (paper walls) mayday parade (self-titled) the cab (whisper war) the story so far (what you don't see) the maine (black & white) the red jumpsuit apparatus (don't you fake it) Staked year with no surprise, but these are my hopes for albums being played in full
If it's full band and not just Brendon can see them doing a tour or mini run after. Demand for their last tour wasn't the best and him playing their first album (when a lot of attendees would be more mainstream fans last tour) without the other members is a recipe for disaster. Most people who would go to a Panic tour for that album want at least Ryan if not Spencer in the mix.
I hate to say it but.......eh. i guess the idea of them going bigger and bigger or evolving is over. If it wasn't for 2022 ans 2023 I'd say this looks awesome but honestly I'm only interested in blink, offspring, Weezer, and Avril (I've seen used a billion times) Undercard is filled with metal/post hardcore/crabcore which ain't my jam. Straylight run is a cool get but that's about it for the undercard
Yeah exactly. The wording feels misleading on purpose. At first glance you're like holy shit...blink early album set only...but I get a sense maybe 1 or 2 deep cuts but a normal set. Which is awesome sure but like you said the wording feels intentional
this lineup is catered more to the people who graduated high school between 2006 and 2008, I think haha. panic, all time low, mayday parade, boys like girls, the cab, breathe carolina, the rocket summer, the summer set, red jumpsuit, never shout never... not for me.
Bad religion. Come on that has to be 100% the biggest outlier band. When i saw them on the poster I expected to spot a ton of punk bands sprinkled and thought they'd go that route... Lol nope. Just 1 random old punk band among a see of scene kids who listened to Breathe Carolina in 2007
“As the saying goes, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, so their When We Were Young appearance will be the only chance to see Panic! back on stage.”
The Gaslight Anthem is in their sphere. Beyond that, this lineup is...interesting. Sunami's going to go over interestingly. 1-8-7 on a p.i.g.
The bands i'd like to see: Blink 182, Panic at the disco, Weezer, The offspring, The gaslight anthem, Alexisonfire, Straylight run, Knocked loose There is a lot of bands I already saw at the last three that I can skip seeing. Bad religion I also saw at No values, them and Weezer feel out of place for me.
Future headliners I can see happening now: 2026 - Brand New playing Devil and God (I know, controversial but wouldn't shock me) 2027 - Sum 41's inevitable reunion
$325 for this with a smaller lineup than the last few years is interesting. I like a lot of these bands, but shelling out $1000 when you figure in hotels for this is tough when Warped is half the price.
Im excited to see Straylight Run playing shows again, but then I remember how bad John Nolan vocals were this year and Im not sure what to expect.
Panic and Blink cost a pretty penny to book. Especially if this is Panic's only show. Go to the Warped thread and look at the list of confirmed acts so far. It pales in comparison to the star power that WWWY has.
It's already been mentioned, but I only count 5 female acts on this lineup. Couldn't ask for The Distillers try again? Or ask Poppy or Meet Me @ The Altar to come back? Or how about Winona Fighter? LOLO?
