Decided I'm going to try for VIP tomorrow. Not the cabana, but the close to the stage thing. Fuck it.
When We Were Young gets announced: HoW aRe ALL oF tHoSe BaNdS gOiNg TO pLaY iN oNe DaY?! This gets announced: Yooooo looks fun
the people complaining about the logistics of how this is going to happen are wild to me because if youre even remotely interested in going to this you have probably been to a warped tour before.
I think the VIP viewing area is for the main stage only, make sure that firs you before you jump on it because many bands are going to be on the other stages too.
FAKE! DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAM! But on a serious note, it's interesting that Lupe, who's on the 3rd line, is doing a full album performance. If a third line act is getting basically an hour, I'm sure our 2nd line and headliners will play solid normal length sets.
Also it seems like Live Nation is going all in on these 1 day festivals. Safe to assume it is much cheaper for them to invest in these turntable stages instead of booking venues for multiple days. I've said it before, but I'm too old for these 3 day city festivals. If I can't camp there, it's a real beating on my mid 30s body to stand for 12 hours, fight for transportation home at the end of the night, and do it all over again 2 more times. I really hope these 1 day experiments are successful.
theres definitely pros and cons to a one day festival and a multi-day - like, I loved Firefly, but like half the experience of that is the camping element. something like riot fest where im shelling out tons of money just to post up in a holiday inn or airbnb and ubering to the festival each day seems less and less appealing every year.
Exactly. Bonnaroo is my heaven. But Riot Fest, Lollapalooza and Govball were nightmares for me. After a long day in the heat you and 60,000 people are shuffling out of the venue all at once, fighting for either a surged Uber or for a spot on the jam packed train. Last year on the last night of Riot there was some train issue and we were waiting on the platform for like 90 minutes. Torture.
what are the odds that travis barker pops in and drums on a song for avril, jxdn, or lil huddy? i feel like there's a chance, which would be fun
And then he links up with Matt and Mark makes his way to Vegas and blink plays a secret show that night.
Has Travis popped on to do drum on any sets for the artists that he's worked with yet? That wasn't a TV appearance? I feel like anytime they've popped up on a festival this has come up... And it hasn't happened yet that I'm aware of.
MGK on one of the Tickets To My Downfall tour dates this past fall. Other than that seems like TV and music videos only
I was scrolling through Facebook just now and saw one of my friends post the mock set times and they and everyone commenting on it thinks it's real so they're all talking shit about some of the overlaps and everything. There's so many typos and even We The Kings is listed twice. Hahaha how are some people so dumb?
Yeah, don't think he'll show up to drum for JXDN or whoever then. If the guy he seems to actually be friends with only got one appearance... I saw the same thing and was confused as to how anybody could think that looked even remotely official. I mean, it says "Amberlin" on it.
