I made mock schedules based on album length and other factors and I thought it was doable with 5 stages
They could just let coheed play unopposed at the smaller stage while fob or mcr does their set. There's really no reason to cut their set imo
Where’s everyone from earlier that was adamant every album would be played in full? joke of a fest, not surprised at all that now this is turning into a mess of bands not playing full albums or not playing albums at all pretgy sure DGD have said they aren’t doing all of mothership too
This fest has gone pretty flawless the last two years, besides the cancellation of the first day of year 1 because of safety reasons. It will be a shame if they drop the ball this year. There's plenty of people that want to still call it the emo fyre festival.
I feel like it wouldn't have been that hard to have done an album series correctly. Be up front with the bands and make sure they all get 30-60 minutes like Riot Fest does. They probably would need to limit the number of bands and be more picky, but I feel like it would be doable.
2022 had 5 stages + SNW this year had 5 stages so should definitely be 5 this year to be plausible. Idk I feel it's workable at 5 TBF DGD lost? changed? singer (I don't even know the specifics about them at this point haha) so an album play didn't make sense there
That’s well and good but the festival still advertises the album play from them. At least make an announcement saying hey they can’t do that album anymore.
On a related topic, last weekend I saw Hawthorne Heights playing The Silence In Black and White in full and in order but played "Ohio is for Lovers" at the very end, so I wonder ifother bands will do the same leaving the hit song of the album at the end.
Emery did that at Furance fest. Opened with ponytail parades and played walls at the end. Early November have been playing rooms too cold backwards
They flew too close to the sun with the number of bands. This was never going to work as well as the last two years
People really like to create shitty scenarios in their head. You like not like the fest it doesn’t matter but the last two years have run very smoothly and there is no reason to believe this year will be any different.
I’d say for any of the non headliners / sub headliners if the album is 40+ mins some songs are getting cut cartel is definitely not pulling off 50 mins of chroma etc But we’ll see Monday
They really do, it's crazy to read that the fest is a joke overall when it's running as smooth as it has these last two years for such a huge fest. Aftershock has bands dropping out so frequently that sometimes they aren't even announced when they do. I'm actually shocked how well it has gone that most of the lineup doesn't really change. I do feel bad about those that paid and obviously want their favorite bands to play the album they advertised.
I dont want it to fail as I paid to attend with international flights and hotel, but I do want to get what I paid for which is albums played in full, it was the selling point for a lot of people
Coheed closing a side stage is an excellent call; I’d much rather see them playing at night instead of 2pm on a main.
A is 10 minutes long & it’s just an extension of Q with some motifs of other songs on the album, no way they play it in full if it all
I didn’t really think there was a way Cartel was getting a full hour or even close to it. I’m just hoping Neck Deep gets their full album.
