  11. Assuming no covid interference (lol) I'm seeing Thursday, ManOrch and Bright Eyes do headliner sets in the next few months, so excluding those three this is my list:

    1. MCR
    2. Jimmy Eat World
    3. Glassjaw
    4. TBS
    5. Anberlin
    6. AFI
    7. La Dispute
    8. Alkaline Trio
    9. Senses Fail
    10. Paramore

the only one of those listed I've ever seen is TBS--not a lot of bands from the scene came through kentucky back in the day yall!

I have a friend who's INSISTENT that this won't happen.
    1. They sent me a TikTok that lied and said this will be the same as Lovers & Friends Fest, which "was poorly booked by LiveNation, then cancelled and no one got a refund". (The 2020 L&F was cancelled but that year wasn't even a LiveNation event, and obviously everyone was refunded.)
    2. They then told my Royal & The Serpent, Neck Deep, and Senses Fail weren't even told about the festival before the announcement, which is NOT what those artists said. They simply weren't told the full lineup.
    3. They then said that it's mathematically impossible for 60 bands to play in 12 hours on 3 stages, and then I showed a video of a rotating stage proving that it's possible to eliminate changeovers.
    4. Then they finally said "Idk, it just feels sketchy"
It's literally just all feels over reals. People just wanna look a luck horse in the mouth or call sour grapes.

  14. Literally nobody on this lineup knew the full lineup so that’s a bad conspiracy from people.

if you ask 99% of bands “hey wanna play this fest? MCR is headlining”

    they will say yes

people not understanding that promotion places don’t wanna say whole lineup to bottom to middle tier bands because then it could be leaked or something

I'm actually surprised BFS didn't get on this, they pull very well at festival type of things.

BFS, I’ve noticed, have been getting a lot of nostalgia hype recently. This would’ve been great for them

  18. A girl I know was looking into some of the ADA accessibility info and noticed that some of the language implies this is a multi-day event. I kinda assume it’s just some poorly edited LiveNation boilerplate stuff but it definitely is not a great look to the “this fest is a scam” crowd haha

Actually can’t believe there is anyone out there who thinks it’s a “scam”. It’s Live Nation ffs. This isn’t South By So What or some smaller time promoter/bookers.

I think the crappy poster is what makes people think it is a scam. If it was organized in lines I’m sure it would be fine. However I think the poster style is what generated so much social media buzz. Smart marketing on their point.

My friend asked a good question, do you all think that the older bands on the lineup who are lower on the poster and only playing 4-5 songs are going to only play their 2000's hits or try and push newer material?

I think we just live in a society where people love to see chaos and downfalls. They get off on things not going according to plan and want to see things crumble. Like, I think a lot of people want to see this either be a scam or a shitshow.

  24. Hits. They know what they’re there for.

    Hits, for sure.

I think it will work out ok, as long as you dont want to see all 60 bands - lol.
