black parade would be its 18th birthday that year, so can see the logic dusk and summer though DC, come on
Big fan of the concept. Wonder how Atreyu will handle that without Alex, but ABR doing Constellations, Chiodos, Prada doing Plagues is nuts, and ADTR doing Homesick is a huge W.
Thursday doesn't know how to play any of their material aside from full collapse and war all the time it seems
Think FOB will do completely separate sets if they announce multiple days. They've covered pretty much their entire discography on their current tour, maybe not having to do an album play is actually a blessing.
That is actually an insane lineup lol. I could be tempted despite my total lack of interest in Vegas as a place.
Having been to WWWY the last two years (fantastic time if people haven't been), I think I am honestly most stoked about Cobra Starship? Lol I was *pretty* sure they were gonna wind up on the bill in 2024 with Gabe having dipped his toe back into performing, both with reuniting Midtown and popping up with TAI several times this year to do "Snakes On A Plane" (including at WWWY, which was a festival highlight). Kinda curious they're doing "Viva" instead of "Hot Mess" which was their legit hit album. Also, this means there's a decently high chance that they will play at least a few other shows that I don't have to fly to Vegas for so I am 100% onboard with that.
I mean, like was it a hey come play the festival but it has to be an album, or did WWWY present them with a hey play the festival but its albums this year and we'd really like you to do X. Mainly as there are a couple curveballs on what album a band is doing, Cobra Starship case in point. Doing Viva and not the bigger hit (?) of Hot Mess or City Sleeps
I wonder if maybe there was a little more money in some bands to play certain albums, because some of these are kind of surprising to me. Either bands that have already toured/played said albums before (NFG, MCS, etc) or bands I would not expect to do an album play (Coheed in particular was surprising)
Oh yeah I know, but I guess it’s just kind of surprising they’re doing Good Apollo again out of nowhere
This will be an easy skip for me, thank god, hahaha The Forecast is the only one where I'm like "Oh fuck that's awesome!" I've seen MCS, Thursday, and Underoath play those albums in full before. It'd be cool to see AFS, AAR, Saosin, TSL, STD, and JEW play those albums, but not cool enough to pay all that money. And pretty much all the other bands I either don't know, don't like, or don't care to see them play the selected album. At least I'd very happily be able to leave before the headliners! haha
