Did they do any last minute upgrades to VIP?

 

If you were GA and used the Google wallet fast lane, I think you had a chance to be upgraded. Also heard stories of people going to the box office and asking if there were any wristbands and getting them. Can't confirm those stories though.

 

5SOS plays MSG and The Forum and sells out both, so yes, absolutely.

Far as fuck based on last year. I wanted to be up close for Paramore at 8:30 and I lined up to get into the GA Pit in front of the stage 2+ hours before and still had a hard time making it close to the front in time.

 

NFG and 5SOS should be swapped. I know which band is technically bigger but this is a certain type of festival. I also doubt 5SOS plays the material that fits this festival more.

 

Can't imagine the last time NFG got a 30 minute set lol

Taking another glance at the schedule I'm shocked that 30 Seconds to Mars is the subheadliner on the Blink stage.

Does anyone give a shit about that band in 2023? What size venues do they typically play? I would've for sure assumed that Sum 41 and Yellowcard would have been the bigger draws.

 

Jared Leto is the draw, not the band at this point

 

They still obsess with them on one of the big alt rock stations here in SoCal. I’m not sure what their draw is these days, but I guess there’s still some demand for them?

The clusterfuck that was the first night of the Wet Hot All American Summer back in August.

 

Y'all have to realize that these placements are largely based on contracts. Band X says, "yes, we'll do this festival but we want to play before/after Y time or before Z band."

That's how you end up with things like 30 Seconds to Mars before blink.

 

Did anyone leave last year and re-enter? I'm looking to have about a 1.5 hour gap mid day that I was thinking could be good to head to a nearby casino for shade/food? Is that enough time to leave and get back in.

Also heard stories of long lines to get in last year. If we are hoping to get there around 11:45 when Ataris start what time should we show up to the festival?

 

If you go to reddit you'll see a totally different segment of fans that are excited for 30 seconds to Mars, 5sos.. basically all the bands I don't want to see. I'm starting to think I'll be the older dude that moshes too hard and gets a lot of stares from Gen Z

Thirty Secs still chart really high on alt-radio. I’ll be probably passing through, would love to hear something from A Beautiful Lie but I doubt it’ll happen.
