where would i be if i was my brain Prestigious

Is it worth $100 to ask him if he thought FPS was worth losing his tour?

Does WWWY year 3 lineup drop next month? I remember year 2 dropped before year 1 happened

  3. I’m curious who else they could possibly get at this point. Haha.

They really could have split Green Day and blink as the “headliner” for separate years. Not sure how many anchors are left to “headline” the 1a and 1b spots next year.

Wonder if they even plan on doing this every year. Gonna have a ton of repeats next year if so

The only other duo i could think of is Fall out Boy and Panic.... but it would just be some sort of combination of the past two years no?

sure there are a few bands here and there we could throw in there but definitely not enough for a full year of first timers.

Panic! is done for, so I think they’re out of the question

"Done for". Until the inevitable return.

But yes 2 years would be hilariously fast for a reunion show

Maybe they do, like. The punk scene? And get op ivy and misfits and/or nofx legit final show...or something like that

I think this years got revealed as early as it did was because of blink and it being on their tour poster. If that didn’t happen I think they would have waited

No Doubt and FOB could easily anchor a 3rd year. Lean into the SoCal skate punk/ska scene a bit more for the undercard.

Add some newer acts like The Interrupters, maybe book NOFX as a final Vegas show.

The Killers, as Vegas natives, could be a 1a/1b band.

Yeah this seems like the best option. They could bring back The Offspring and Rise Against too and then stack it 90’s punk/ska bands.

Basically, It’s Not Dead Fest 3

Could lean into some (can't believe it's creepin up on us) 10's nostalgia and book Twenty One Pilots and some of that stuff

I heard a rumor that next years fest would be built around album plays, so overlaps from past lineups wouldn’t feel as cumbersome. Grain of salt stuff but they could easily make that very successful.

See the problem with getting bands like the killers or 21 pilots is that..... thats definitely not as special or unique.

Every festival in the country has some iteration of alt indie rocks bands + hip hop + pop acts festival. Some lean heavier on the indie alt rock than others. The same goes for metal + rock punk adjacent festivals.

Killers have also headlined Life Is Beautiful in Vegas a couple times, including in about a couple weeks.

Headliner pool seems kinda thin: No Doubt, Fall Out Boy, Panic, Weezer. Is that it?

Undercard on the other hand, I can probably rattle off 40 acts who haven’t played either year. Off the top of my head Coheed, Jacks Mannequin, Poison the Well, Hellogoodbye, Alexisonfire, The Early November, Further Seems Forever, Mae, Midtown, From First to Last, A Static Lullaby, Hidden in Plainview, The Almost, Straylight Run, Head Automatica, Real Friends, The Transplants, Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, Matchbook Romance, Sugarcult, Nofx, Mest, Moneen, Hey Monday, The Honorary Title, Spitalfield, Angels and Airwaves, Cobra Starship, The Rocket Summer, Cute if What We Aim For, The Distillers, The Donnas, Meg & Dia, Tegan and Sara….
They can even add scene adjacent acts like Deftones, Switchfoot, Minus the Bear and Three Days Grace. Maybe even an oddball addition like 311 or Limp Bizkit.

I could see them even going more indie/alternative-askew too and focus on 2000-2010’s indie rock groups. Booking acts in like Modest Mouse, The Shins, Dr. Dog, Car Sead Headrest, and other bands in the same vein. Sprinkle in a couple of the influential 90’s acts like Built To Spill and Pavement too.

    Not sure about headliners tho

yeah headliner pool is definitely thin if they wanna keep it in the punk/emo/warped tour realm

Not exactly emo/pop punk, but Linkin Park doing a comeback would be a fantastic headliner.

I'd argue that Weezer is maybe not even big enough to be Top 2 on this thing, TBH... I do actually think a case could be made for the Killers, though. Typical for other festivals, sure, but I'd imagine a lot of people attending aren't the "usual" festival crowd anyway.

And honestly, I don't think people are going to this thing just for the headliners, anyway. It's not like they've had wild exclusives in MCR, Paramore, Green Day, and/or Blink. It's an important component. But it's more the "full package" than anything.

Like... If they had the Killers with Death Cab for Cutie, Jack's Mannequin, Bloc Party, Matt & Kim, Head Automatica, the Bravery or whatever? I could see people loving that and reacting really well.

Doubt it...every act that has headlined so far has been a bonfide arena act for at least 1-2 album cycles.\

Next year, the top of the bill should look like...

No Doubt - Fall Out Boy
Rancid - NOFX (final Vegas show) - Iggy Pop
Sleater Kinney - Social Distortion - Bad Religion - The Interrupters - The Transplants
The Donnas - Reel Big Fish - Joan Jett - The Distillers - The Vandals - The Regrettes - Descendents - Against Me!
The Specials - Save Ferris- Jeff Rosenstock - Pinkshift - Unwritten Law - The Linda Lindas - Soul Glo - Better Lovers

Tried to give it more of a skate punk vibe and more female representation. Some of these are longshots but I'd love to see The Donnas and Transplants do some reunion shows.
