It was extortionate for the quality of hotel but the proximity to the festival was hard to beat

 

I'm going Thursday to Monday and booked treasure island for 1300. Booked the room when the dates were announced.

 

$520 for 4 nights at the excalibur. Way other end of the strip and means ill duck early again for the monorail, but thats fine. I like being on that end of the strip. Cheaper tables, bars i know etc.

 

I wanna plan my schedule sooo bad!

 

I have a free ticket/room thanks to a friend, just need to get flights. But… oof. Boston to Vegas is brutal right now

 

Are you a pit starter? I'll be on pit patrol, so we can fire up a pit together if we have some overlap

 

Anyone know if toddlers get in for free? If both parents have tickets

 

100% my friend. At every show there has to be that one confident asshole to just get it going, to let all the nervous shy folks out there that...hey...its okay guys! I'll take one for team.

Luckily this fest has plenty of bands that's 100% pit punk bands so I'm not worried. I hope finch is early enough. That'll be a good way to set the bar for the day

 

Hotel officially booked. Golden Nugget here i come. Before resort fees it was $340 for 2 nights. Not bad for two people to divide.

 

Frontier airlines is running a sale i think? I just got Vegas to Austin for $40

 

Dang. Boston is still $700+ through Frontier.

 

Did anyone in here end up getting tickets off the waitlist? If yes, how long was it before the event?

 

I did last year for Day 1. It was about three months before I’d say. They give you like 8-12 hours tops after they email for the charge to automatically go through if you are selected.

I wish you had a choice for what waitlist to join. I’m on Day 2 and really would prefer Day 1. Unless it gets canceled the morning of, in which case I do not want Day 1 lol

 

I'm so bewildered at the cost of flights to Vegas these days. Could fly round trip for like 200-300 a person from Philly a few years ago. Gonna spend 600-1000 a person depending on day and times.

 

What was going on a couple years ago that made flights so cheap?

Flights from Denver are usually still pretty reasonable, although still more than they used to be. There was a time where I could get one-ways on Southwest for $39. Lately they're usually closer to $100 one way but I've seen ones for $79 here and there

 

I shouldn't gloat butttttt.... my round-trip from Austin was $90

 

Jealous.
