Yeah I found the episode from two weeks ago way more series finale-ish than this one. I guess they did need to address the fact that the documentary is ending though.

I think it was a fine finale but probably the weakest episode of the season. Great season though. Really loved this show. Feel like there was only one season that felt a bit off (the night club one). Gona miss these characters a lot

also lol at Taika saying this has gone on way too long when it’s currently way better than anything he’s done in the last few years

 

I honestly thought this season wasn't great as a whole but the finale was definitely super funny and well-done, I'm satisfied with it. Definitely leaves the door open for more too if they ever decide to go that route

i don't think the show ever managed to recreate the highs that the first two seasons did, those two seasons almost feel like a different (and better) show at this point, but I did grow really attached to these characters and think the show never stopped being super funny (besides some odd character choices every now and then) - I just wish it kept going with genuinely interesting storylines and worldbuilding like the early years did. It does seem like by the end they were going purely for comedy over everything else and I can respect that vision though

Overall this was one of the best comedies airing on TV in the 2020's and I'm gonna miss having new seasons to look forward to

 

I wish Sean was in the finale

 

This! I kept waiting for one last appearance from Sean, but alas.

 

Honestly wish we had more than one season with the monster

 

Pretty sure Anthony Atamanuik had a guest star credit on the finale too

 

He was in one of the alternate endings

Just in case you guys didn't know, there were three hypnosis "perfect" endings that you may have seen depending on how/where you watched. You can see the other ones as a bonus feature on Hulu (Extra Hypnosis or something like that? It's on the top of the menu for the show)

 

Oh that’s awesome, I had no idea. I got the Bob Newhart ending where Nandor and Guillermo wake up in bed together as a married couple and Nandor recounts his dream of the series.

 

Same, now I gotta go find the others!

 

I think the Newhart one is what you get if you watch on Hulu. There's also The Usual Suspects and Rosemary's Baby parodies that aired if you watched on FX in certain regions
