I don’t think this question has ever been asked as a thread before, so let’s do it. First show you ever went to. If you want to go further you can name the first concert/show you went to with your parents or someone supervising you and the first concert/show you went to alone. Also if you want you can name the first few shows you went to if you remember the ones after your first. The first concert I ever went to was Kelly Clarkson with Rooney in Tinley Park, Illinois.
First concert I went to was Incubus, Sparta backed them up, in Toronto, Ontario. This was 2004. Btw, can't wait to see them again (Incubus) in the fall!
First was Shania Twain when I was probably 5 or 6 in the 90s. The one I consider my first concert was The White Stripes in 7th grade.
My sister took when to Korn/Puddle of Mudd/Deadsy when I was 12. I started going to small local things pretty much immediately after that
2003 Honda Civic Tour: Good Charlotte & New Found Glory co-headline with MxPx and Stretch Armstrong opening.
My parents took the whole family to John Mellencamp in 1994 and then R.E.M. in 1995. I wasn’t even 10 at the time. First show I ever went to with friends was Family Values Tour in 2001 (Stone Temple Pilots, Stand and Linkin Park) and then the floodgates opened of me going to concerts with friends throughout high school. First show I ever attended alone was Bayside in 2011.
Always love this question! Shania Twain's opening night of her Up! Tour: September 25, 2003, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. My sister and I were 10, and begged (and cried) for my dad to buy us tickets. I've been lucky enough to have seen her 4 more times live since, even at the same venue for two shows more! Love another Shania mention! I missed that tour you went to, but I've saw her after that ever since!
First was Hanson probably 1997/98?? First show I went to without adult supervision was Senses Fail in Oct 2004, I think. My dad and uncle took me and some friends to Warped Tour summer of 04.
I guess you could say Finch at a church event back in Temecula when they were just starting out. That's at least the earliest thing I can remember.
First concert (with my parents): The Beach Boys. Probably around 1988 or so? I don't remember all that much of it save for the fact that we had lawn seats and at one point a beach ball was bounced in my direction. First concert of my choosing: "Weird Al" Yankovic at the Cape Cod Melody Tent in MA. I went with a few friends of mine in junior high during the final leg of theBad Hair Day tour. First concert of my choosing that's associated with the "scene" or whatever: Hot Water Music with Small Brown Bike, Saves the Day, and Close Call in February 2000. I was there for Saves the Day, and I remember being a little scared by Hot Water Music. Just wasn't ready for it at the time.
First concert was KUPL Portland Countryfest in the mid or late 90s (I've never been able to find record of it online). First concert I went to without supervision was Backstreet Boys in 2001.
first that I went to on my own cognizance/accord was the All That tour which was the cast of All That and also Monica and 98 Degrees when I was 11 first like real one I remember going to is Pete Yorn and REM when I was 15
First with parents: Kiss / Buckcherry in 2009 First with friends: Killswitch Engage / Shadows Fall / Acaro in 2012 First by myself: Forever Came Calling / You Me And Everyone We Know / Seasons Change / Like Pacific in 2015
Warped Tour 2006 at Columbia Meadows in St Helens. I saw Saves The Day, Against Me!, Saosin, Armor For Sleep and Silverstein before having to leave early due to severe sunburns. Learned my lesson to bring sunscreen haha My first club show was Rise Against/Silverstein/Comeback Kid/Holy Roman Empire in July 2007. Still one of my favorite shows of all time.
I'm actually wrong about the first show I attended alone. 2010 Jimmy Eat World in Columbus was the first show I attended alone...by accident. My buddy, who lives in Columbus, and I were going to go together and I bought my ticket the same day he was going to buy them (I offered to buy his at the same time) and when he went to go buy like, an hour later, it was sold out. Personally, I think the show oversold and that I wasn't supposed to be able to buy one, because when I got to the venue, they couldn't scan my barcode and they kept trying and they just let me in once I showed them my confirmation e-mail. Turned out to be one of my most favorite/memorable shows ever.
First show I ever went to was Projekt Revolution with Linkin Park, Korn, Snoop Dog, The Used, LTJ First show I went to alone was NFG, Senses Fail, TREOS Both were amazing experiences, wish I had gotten to see TREOS again after that.
