What show would you time travel for?

If you could go back in time just for a night, who would you see and when?

 

My picks:
- Elliott Smith 97/98
- Radiohead also 97/98

 

I saw a poster for The Smiths opening for The Clash and another great band (can't remember the name). Bob Dylan going full electric. That or David Bowie...pretty much any era would be a blessing.

Edit: Oh, and Fugazi, of course.

 

Off the top of my head, March 26, 1971 just to watch ELP's Pictures at an Exhibition set.

 

Fugazi (around '85-'86)
Quicksand (around '95)

 

So - without exact dates.... The easy answer could be the Stones, Beatles, Woodstock, Elvis.... Grateful Dead... How about the Who? A lot of bands that are in the R&R HOF. When they were 1) Starting out 2) Huge. Dylan too.

The Clash... the Ramones... If you looked at Rolling Stones top 100 bands of all time - I would guess, ANY of those.

Tough question to answer, IMO.

 

Man, just about any Led Zeppelin or Zappa show.

 

I would love to see a Wish You Were Here era Floyd show.

 

id kill to go back to the prehistoric era and see some cavemen put on a good ol' fashioned Rock show

Elliott Smith in '98 would be my number one choice, but I'd also like to see the Strokes at the 2 Dollar Bill show in 2002, Jawbreaker in 1994 and Television in '77.

I think I saw a Momentary Lapse of Reason tour... I am sure I was there, though I cannot remember the drive there, the drive home, or much of hte show - cept for lasers, and a blow up pig, I think....
