I saw a poster for The Smiths opening for The Clash and another great band (can't remember the name). Bob Dylan going full electric. That or David Bowie...pretty much any era would be a blessing. Edit: Oh, and Fugazi, of course.
So - without exact dates.... The easy answer could be the Stones, Beatles, Woodstock, Elvis.... Grateful Dead... How about the Who? A lot of bands that are in the R&R HOF. When they were 1) Starting out 2) Huge. Dylan too. The Clash... the Ramones... If you looked at Rolling Stones top 100 bands of all time - I would guess, ANY of those. Tough question to answer, IMO.
so many choices Elliott Smith Jeff Buckley Talking Heads David Bowie Mitch Hedberg if we can do other disciplines
Springsteen on either the Born to Run or Darkness tours Drive-By Truckers with Jason Isbell (missed seeing him in DBT by 11 months) The Replacements with Bob Stinson Sonic Youth at any point in time Grateful Dead in early 70s Bob Dylan with The Band (both tours, 1966 and 1974) R.E.M. at any point in time, but especially mid-80s Tons and tons of others too haha
Elliott Smith in '98 would be my number one choice, but I'd also like to see the Strokes at the 2 Dollar Bill show in 2002, Jawbreaker in 1994 and Television in '77.
Michael Jackson- Dangerous Tour + Man In The Mirror. Feeder - before the death of Jon Lee...Maybe the start of Echo Park tour
Would love to see Fugazi around Red Medicine era. Television would be great to see but only if I could watch them progress from the beginning of their tenure at cbgbs to after Marquee Moon. The Smiths. Elliott Smith. PJ Harvey circa Rid Of Me. Lauryn Hill before the flakiness.
