I really like my new job

 

I feel so unfulfilled with my job. Really need a change hopefully sooner rather than later.

 

That's a great start, but mention it to management as well. Tell them you're dissatisfied with your role so far and that you want more. There should be no management team that is afraid of hearing that from an employee.

And don't be afraid to look elsewhere. For all the positives about my workplace, I don't feel my pay is competitive at the moment - I spruced up my LinkedIn profile and I've gotten weekly inquiries about new positions since.

I'm doing pretty decently for a Monday too. I think we're getting the first entry in KD's 2nd split series today, which is wonderful.

Growing up with a Methodist pastor for a father, variance of choice in theological foundation wasn't really an option. In hindsight, although unable to eventually reconcile personal concerns with the alleged infallible word of the Bible, ignorance truly was bliss. Death is a living partner, and the most basic function of humanity at it's true Maslow 's core is to ensure ourselves enough psychological and physical comfort to forget we're holding hands with the reaper. Those who pretend otherwise tend to either not be self-aware (good for them, I truthfully miss that and hope their bubble never pops), or invest thoroughly to a method of bliss through an application of a "truth". To both, there is hope in remaining, but much apprehensive sorrow in my heart for you. When an exposure pulls out your ideological Jenga tower from under you, and you're forced to watch the blocks tumble but unable to muster the reserve to catch them, that shit hurts. I'm still wondering if they're worth picking up, or maybe this is time to move into a different room.

True. But I definitely wouldn't be making as much at any of those places as I make at my current job which would mean I couldn't give at my current place... as much as I'd love to work at either of those places.

 

There has to be something. Studies place protein gene coding with around 20,000 variables. Of the millions of proteins created by these variables in your body, each one contains an average amino acid link strand structure of 485 (but can range into the thousands). The strand is formulaic, and requires uncompromising synthesis. We know which amino acids create which proteins, and that if even one amino was out of strand line, the protein would not synthesize. This shit called life isn't random, don't pretend like there's not a very odd method of construction and deliberation that surrounds us. I just have no idea what to call that aura anymore, or if it even deserves our time.
