Holy....THATS HOW YOU KICK OFF A CLOSER TO SUCH A BIZARRELY COOL ALBUM
This song is my favorite on the album bar none. It starts off insane, and the guitar work in this one is great. It switches between twinging harp almost, to these low rolling fast strummings. This one is the most vocally 'sung' track on the album as well for the most part, with some great and haunting backing vocals in the intermissions between the verses. 'Door without a key, a field without a fence' 'like two pennies on the train track'. Hot damn. These verses have some amazing lyrics to them, and this is his best vocal work on the album. The outro is pretty dang cool too

Conclusion

This band is fucking weird and bizarre. But I mean that in a totally cool way. Again this album plays almost like a stage's soundtrack. And I am completely fine with that, because I like music like that. No song is the same at all, and its so diverse. There are cool things going on in each song. Its hard to get into at first, just because its SO WEIRD and the speak sung vocals is jarring at first when you realize its always like that. But once you get used to it, this album clicks with you. Is it something Id throw on when I'm in the car or something? Maybe, probably not I need more time with it since its so outside my usual listening. But, this has a charm to it and is so unique its hard to hate on it.

So glad that he is doing better! I think having sick kids is one of the hardest, if not the hardest, part about being a parent. I hope he keeps getting better and that this is the last round of anyone being sick in your household!

haha, enjoyed reading Kevos reaction to mw. when i read him being a little iffy on the "half sung half spoken" vocals in the second track i was like "lol you have no idea what youre getting yourself into", but im glad it was an over positive experience.

 

a little piece of advice tho @JediMasterKevo182, Brother, Sister is an objective 10/10 (sorry this is fact, dont @ me).
