welp. The place that I worked for until 4pm yesterday printed off promotional fliers for me to hand out to customers. The latest batch of fliers included a Better Business Bureau logo, stating we had accreditation and an A+ rating. After research on BBB's website and a phone call, I discovered that we were NOT accredited with BBB; the LLC was falsely advertising the trademarked logo. The owner fired me under under grounds of insubordination, simply because in the conversation I refused to hand out unethical, misleading fliers. There were no previous write-ups, or policies enforced on me prior.

Turns out the conversation was essentially a setup. My job posted on Indeed, two hours before the words "I'm not doing that" left my mouth.

I'm so tired. When do we stop picking up pieces.

 

Damn, that’s real shitty of them. You should report them to the state labor board, I’m sure they’d be interested. You should also let the BBB know, they’re fucking sharks.

 

Dude that sucks. I'm so sorry. I'm still picking up the pieces from being fired a year and a half ago. The hurt is still there, but we're about caught up financially.
