oh Hail to the Thief haha I think its good, its one that I come back to the least but I love how far they pushed themselves harmonically on that record

I recently saw him in Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency and I freaking loved it. The show was genius dark comedy that builds each episode.

 

there's no harmonicas on the record

 

It was surprisingly amazing.

Halfway through I was thinking "what the hell is this?!"

 

Definitely their most underrated i will say that.

I once saw someone say about HTTT: "I like the idea that this is a "best of" made out of completely new songs!"

Makes sense to me. I mean you get a little bit of everything on it and if you are willing to stick with it and let it grow on you, it's surprising how enjoyable that album becomes. I mean it was a 3/5 when i first heard it now to me its easily a 4/5 and im glad I picked it up on vinyl.

 

Think about it

 

its a really ambitious rock record thats less obsessed with completely shattering genre boundaries than kid a but tries to push the concept of "rock" as far to the edge as possible without completely tearing down that wall to make it essentially genre-less

@Kingjohn_654 if you like Elijah Wood the movie The Ice Storm is a classic directed by Ang Lee. Great ensemble cast in that one.

Probably their weakest tbh, but still pretty good. Their stubborn old fans were too stubborn and old to appreciate it when it came out.
