It's a 2018. This may be the first year they went without CD players, I'm not sure. It does have support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so that's nice.

 

ok that's nice. fucking 2016 doesn't have android auto which is bullshit because other 2016 hondas have it already.

I use the usb drive most but we do have a small cd book in there for when we can't mess with the stupid menu that is very stupid.

it reads the usb drive but instead of displaying it alphabetically (like it should) it sorts it by first added to the drive.


so if I add a United Nations folder to it before Amber Pacific then United nations is first. it's super annoying.

That sounds quite annoying. I typically use Bluetooth for shorter car trips, but for longer ones I use the Apple CarPlay.

 

Bluetooth is good for short trips, but the quality is lacking somewhat, the USB sounds great, just as good as cds do.

also road noise is my enemy.

Already talked about it but I back playing on cd. Even if I buy digital, I still burn it to CD for my car. Always sounds better for some reason to me.

 

Mine does lol I love cd quality it sounds better than my MP3 hooked up to the aux cable

 

CDs have a higher quality. There have been plenty of albums (SOTY Wolves, TBS Tidal Wave, Starset Vessels) that have layers in the songs I never noticed in digital format but do on physical CDs

Yeah, the quality of the CarPlay via USB is definitely better than Bluetooth, plus it keeps my phone charged on long trips.

Let me know what you think of Turnstile. I think it's a lot of fun.

 

Yeah, that's a good stretch of tracks. "Generator" and "Moon" are still my favorites though.

 

Also the new Turnstile is worth your time. It's only 25 minutes so its a breeze to listen to.

 

Moon was good. I don't remember Generator, have to go back to that one. on the last track right now.

feels longer than 25 minutes, probably because of how many songs it is. but they are fun songs. quick and to the point.


I love it when bands write songs that fit their style and don't focus on making the 3:30 time mark even if the song doesn't call for it. Hence my love for Gatsbys haha.

 

I finished the season last night!

I enjoyed it and I understand the Breaking Bad similarities, but I do prefer Breaking Bad.

Ozark is great though and I look forward to what season 2 has in store!

 

And hence my love for Attack in Black especially their later stuff.

Generator is the longest song, but it switches up a couple times so it feels almost like more than one song. I just love the guitar solo over handclaps that comes in at the end.

"Bomb" is a weird little interlude. It's like lyrics from The Gap Band's "You Dropped a Bomb On Me", but done in the style of Portugal. The Man, and apropos of nothing.

 

Dustin and Teppei are so amazing, no matter what they're playing.
