Same here! I just had a weekly 8am meeting added to my calendar on Mondays for some reason. Not very excited about that. Luckily my supervisor is also in it and we agreed to alternate weeks. But work has been crazy all year already, just so much going on.

I'm glad things typically slow down for us in the summer because 2 of my coworkers are going to be out on maternity leave all summer, and I will overlap with them for part of the time when I take my paternity leave. Asking 5 people to take on the work of an already understaffed 8-person team kind of sucks, but it's what we gotta do.

 

I am at work and very tired. Daughter still has a fever, we went back to doctor yesterday afternoon and they changed her antibiotics to something stronger, did another flu test which my daughter cannot stand, it makes her very upset.

then they did a quick blood count test so she had to get poked again. the whole time she had a 102 fever and chills. poor little kid. she's feeling better but the fever is still so high. plus she threw up a few times due to the congestion in her throat.

if she's still sick tomorrow I'll be staying home in the afternoon.

on top of all of this work is terrible. and I hate my manager.

 

Want me to say I'm asking for a friend, or just post it?

That sucks, I hope she feels better. My son is starting to get a cold, but otherwise it's been an abnormally healthy winter for us so far. I'm worried that's going to come crashing down in spectacular fashion.

I just bought a ticket to Warped Tour without even knowing what the lineup is, and I've disliked the lineup for the last 5-6 years... I'm already experiencing buyer's remorse.

 

Anyone listen to the new Household record? It's really not bad for what it is. Which is solid emo/alt rock. Listening to it again now. Vocalist has a nice voice and the lyrics are actually pretty good.
