True Detective season 1 might be a slow burner but its a masterpiece that is well worth the payoff imo.

The 4 mins + continuous tracking shot at the end of episode 4 is breathtaking. @fenway89 have you seen it? So cinematic.

 

Its actually 6 minutes long my bad. Obviously might not want to watch if you havent seen the show yet. I did before i started the show because im a sucker for technical stuff like that.

I’ve read so much about cults in the past few weeks. I think Jonestown still fascinates me the most, but Heaven’s Gate is a close second.
