I think it just needs to be more like owning and operating vehicles. Re-license every 4 to 5 years. Require fees and registrations for each gun. Require education and testing to receive a license, and re-testing every so often. Require insurance. Tax the bejeezus out of bullets like we do with gasoline.

The model is there, we just have to implement it.

 

Yeah, it’s honestly weird how easy it is to get a gun. Easier to get a gun than it is to get health insurance :))))))))))))))))))

 

the main problem is that we've treated this document that was written hundreds of years ago as if it's this future proof infallible document.

should have been torn up and rewritten every 10-15 years and the times changed. now we're 200+ years in on this thing and there's no way that's going to stop.

it can be through amendments but then the first amendment should be to make it EASIER TO AMEND
