See, I was the exact opposite when my band was active. Our longest set was 14 songs I believe(literally every track we'd written, and a couple of covers) and I wish we could've kept going. That was my happy place. I really miss playing out.

I think for smaller touring bands a lot of it is the grind of tour. They're eating gas station meals, and living out of small vans. It has to be exhausting. When you're seeing bands like Green Day they're living like kings on tour.

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE playing shows. But as a vocalist, after about 10 songs I’m done. If I were only playing guitar, I’d love to go on and on haha

I think it goes without saying that is why Julien Baker doesn't play longer than an hour. She'd ruin her voice

Also, I sang in the band I was in haha

The goalie my kids got to high five yesterday from the Amerks just got called up to the Sabres. Pretty cool!

I wish @littlejohn would allow deeper hockey discussions in here. Maybe you could let us Canadians have a day?

Yeah I’m not the best vocalist ha. I don’t know singing technique so I probably throw my voice out too fast

    bye thread.
pretty sure you're supposed to sing as hard, loud and as fast as possible, warming up is the biggest mistake people make. just go out there cold and start belting it as hard as you can.

It absolutely is; it's such a shame that people(as a whole) didn't appreciate it until years later. It really had a negative impact on Thursday's career. I had a long conversation with Geoff about it after a Thursday show, and he compared it to the legacy In Reverie had on Saves the Day's career. Two records that are extremely loved by their respective fan-bases now, that were criticized immensely upon release.

As some of you may or may not know, Laura and myself had multiple miscarriages before we were lucky enough to have our rainbow baby, Antonio.

Whether you like, or don't like Senses Fail, I'll share some lyrics from the new record that are really hitting me hard, and are in a way comforting because I know we're not alone in the pain we share daily.

All the love I had for you was never meant to be
I lost you before you were born
I wish I could see your face, but life I guess had other plans
And maybe you'll be born again, for someone I never met

I loved it the day it was released. I couldn't understand how people didn't. it's perfect.

the only thing that was surprising to me was the production and I think I remember reading that it was recorded live which is amazing to me.

    top tracks
    At This Velocity
    Sugar in the scrament
    lovesong writer
    Into the blinding light
    Other side of the crash
    autumn leaves revisited

but honestly I could put all of them on this list.
