@fenway89 i did listen to colors!

Dude... one of the most ambitious albums I’ve heard in recent memory. I was listening while I was working, so I don’t know like any song names. But there were multiple moments where I was like “wow are they really doing this”? Haha. Like there was a moment where they went into like a blue grass refrain or something and it was insane. I need to listen again and pay attention to the track listings so I can specifically tell you the parts that were blowing me away

 

I've listened to that album and I enjoy it...but I don't think it makes for great bathtime music!

There's nothing better than the whole crowd at a Hotelier show screaming "fuck" after the "I just slept for years on end" lyric

Hmm weird, he seemed to love it both times I've seen them

 

There’s a video of them playing at fest 13 on YouTube, and when they get to that part the whole crowd just shouts FUCK and it’s one of the best moments caught on camera and uploaded to YouTube

 

I'll never forget when I recommended this record on Chorus Music Society and the reviewer said "I kept waiting for the first track to build into something bigger and that never happened" I was like did you listen to the whole song?!

 

he never says it live anymore and i doubt he'd put that in the song if he made it again, mostly probably because the broey dudes who just go off to that

 

also hotelier live shows generally aren't great tbh

i've seen more bad hotelier shows than good ones. also without fail there will be a time where the band falls apart.
just not tight at all. i enjoy those shows because the songs are so good but they'll never be mistaken for excellent live performers

 

The drummer messed up a few times when I saw them as well, but I thought the actual show was good

 

i mean christian would prefer that nobody moshes to their music and people usually go off there so

 

the drummer ALWAYS messes up hahaha

Like the songs aren’t even that hard to play, and he can play some of the tougher parts, but there are times where he just completely lost it randomly haha
