Hey, thanks so much for taking the time to look those up. That was super cool of you.

I didn't really care for the Author or Closer songs, but I liked the rest.

Cecil Frena reminds me of something......90s maybe? I really dig his voice and will look up their stuff.

Harm's Way.......now we are talking! This blew me away and will get their stuff as well. Brutal.

Long Neck was pretty cool. I really like the loud jam parts for the into and in between the verses. The guitar solo was really cool as well. If her voice stays in the same range throughout the entire album though, it may not be a band that I come back to a lot.

John, the songs aren't even in the same key. The chorus of Take Out The Gunman has no urgency, which is the exact opposite of Stinkfist. I'm doing a song by song write-up for you, don't worry

it's not slander. I like chevelle, and La Gargola is my favorite album of theirs!
I love that they sound like Tool.

I like Chevelle. This isn't slander, I'm listening to the record (again) to confirm that it doesn't sound like an album of Tool covers as said by @littlejohn

 

The only time I ever thought they sounded like Tool a little bit was if you compared parts of Point #1 to Opiate IMO.

Ehhh I don't know if I'd go that far. They're clearly influenced by Tool and there are some vocal similarities.
