absolutely. I only partially remember it. it was a fun show though, even though I haven't listened to them in 13.9 years probably.

 

My old band used to cover ‘She fucking hates me’ because the singer loved that song and it remindered her of her ex. I hate that fucking song.

also el paso had so few decent concerts to go to I kind of just went when my friends wanted to go since we didn't have the option much.

 

Yeah, my wife is definitely better at it than I am, but mostly because she's home with them all day every day and gets more practice. I've found it's worked for me to just phrase my reaction in the form of a question, so instead of "You are okay" it's "Are you okay?" With things like falls, I also try not to react unless/until they do. If they fall and bounce right back, I don't say a word.

Other than that, we try to follow the "1, 2, follow through" approach to discouraging actions and behaviors we don't like. The first time we say what it is they did that we didn't like, why we didn't like it, and that if they keep doing it they're going to have to give up the toy, or sit down, or leave wherever we are. The second time we remind them of all of that and ask them if they're ready to be done with whatever it is, and the third time it's over. They tend to learn pretty quick with that.

We also try not to force things on them. Like yesterday my daughter didn't want to eat breakfast, so we didn't make her, but she also didn't get rewarded for it, so she just basically had to sit or stand there and do nothing while the rest of us ate.

 

Pet peeve. Being on hold for over 25 minutes with repetitive hold music

 

It's even worse when the hold music sounds like it's playing from a detuned AM radio.

Nope. I don't really do stuff that gets people arrested.

It's still elevator music, it's just static-y and cuts in and out. I don't know why it happens.

Not much. I watch a lot of TV and read comics. I have three kids, so there's not a lot of me time.

 

Damn! I didn't even know a person could have that many kids.

 

The older I get, the less I have and I never had many.
