...and this new Parkway Drive album. This is bad. Winston's weird, guttural, spoken word vocals aren't doing it for me, and the instrumentals sound like Five Finger Death Punch b-sides.

 

Middle Kids and Carb on Carb for me today. The 2 new jimmy songs are pretty good. Also new Alice in Chains single for all the 90s fans out. @Larry David & @bachna84 to name a few.

The new AIC song is fantastic. It's truly impressive sometimes what they've been able to accomplish post-Layne

 

I probably won't even bother listening to it based on what I've been hearing. I thought Ire was already pretty terrible, so it sounds like they haven't bounced back like I'd hope they would.

Playing the new Mayday Parade single now and its fine. Only Mayday Parade record I ever checked out was Black Lines because Mike Sapone produced it and it was fine too but I never had any desire to play any of their back catalog stuff and this certainly doesn't change my mind.

 

As the metal thread's resident debbie downer and hater of all things fun and popular, my opinion is skewed...but there is just nothing fun about it. Plus Winston's vox are super off putting to my ears. It just didn't sound great to me at all.
