This might shock you, but Thursday doesn't sew their own shirts together. They don't even grow the cotton to make them.

 

Band shirts are very different than weird random coffee.

Usually the band will at least be somewhat involved in shirt designs.

And I'm not expecting HH to go grow the beans but i do wonder if they picked out the coffee personally

 

I think it's safe to assume that they had a hand in what kind of special coffee they sent out.

Also, serious question: when was the last time you were happy or excited about something?

 

It's a specific brew they worked with the company to concoct. The specific blend/flavor is exclusive to HH. A lot of bands are doing similar things with beer companies too. The coffee is fantastic by the way.

 

O'Bro did something similiar with coffee. It's getting more and more popular. Don't see anything wrong with doing something different for their fanbase.

 

Portugal the Man did it with marijuana.

I like when bands do different things like that. The standard CD,vinyl, tshirt, sweater, patches, stickers gets boring sometimes,

 

I gotta quit listening to the Movielife because they don't even make their own guitars. Some guy named fender does it.

I get happy and excited about lots of things.

I was just surprised. I think it's neat (which I said before but one user conveniently ignores for some reason)

I don't either. I said I thought it was weird but neat. it's a cool collectors thing. I don't have a problem with it. haha.

Came off as negative but ya, now that you know they had a hand in picking it hope you’ve changed your mind.
Also came with beer too!

 

Tim Horton's doesn't grow their own coffee beans.

 

yeah I could see how it came off as negative at first, but when we were first talking about it I made a few posts and even said it was "neat". was just surprised and was curious how involved the band was in making that decision.

again: I think the coffee thing is neat. I don't have a problem with random merch being made/included in special packages, I think that's a cool thing. I guess what made it weird to me is that it was a food/drink item.

 

Actually, Leo Fender doesn’t even make them himself anymore.
