new Vendetta Red album is bad

never mind that there are few hook-worthy moments (outside of that 80's bit toward the end of "The Dreamers"), but the production is god-awful. I don't know how a band can legitimately listen to an album like Sisters of the Red Death, and then listen to this, and say "yeah, this is ready for mass consumption". It wasn't.

I really wanted to like it, but after 13 years, sometimes you just wonder why a band can't play to their strengths

 

Love SSPU but never went back to give this EP the proper time. I think I've heard it once? Am I wrong in assuming it's not an essential part of the band's discography?

 

I'm afraid so my friend. You are wrong well because imo everything is an essential part of their discography. The Seasick EP is also excellent. Hope to own it on wax one day. Ribbons and Detours Nikki sings lead on that one. Wish she would more often love her voice.
