There Was a Kid, Pt. 3
I like this track so far. Sounds good. Reminded me of like a cross of LP with something else. Might listen to this one again after I finish this EP.

The Darkest Times
This sounds like classic HH, the scream to start off the chorus was a bit much, but the song itself is pretty decent. Not bad. I could have done without the 3 times they screamed on it though. They just felt a little too predictable honestly.

Common Crook
Eh. Kind of boring at the beginning. His voice sounds better by a lot on this album so far. Maybe it's the production or maybe he actually got better.

Beneath the Silver Strand
Zoned out during this one. Just didn't catch me at all. Not sure why they would want to be below a Nickleback album

Hurt
This sounds like switchfoot at first. Not sure why, maybe it's the guitar. Haha. Not bad.

Young Again
I like this one. Again not a fan of the screaming. I just feel like it's played out a little bit and it's not necessary for them. Id like it more with the screaming I think.

Tail Lights
This one reminded me of blink 182 a lot. Mainly near the end. Not a bad song. Thought it was the closer, felt like a closer.

Bury My Bones at Crystal Cove
This one is good too, I feel like this should have been somewhere else in the album though. Didn't feel like a closer to me. Even just swapping the last 2 tracks. Ok so the little instrumental thing at the end made if feel like a closer. My guess is that they wanted this track to be the closer so they added that to the end to make it fit better. I guess this did fit better as a closer after listening to the first track again, they are kind of similar so they kind of bookend the EP.


Overall this wasn't bad. I'd probably give it a 7 I guess. I think my favorite tracks were the opener and closer which were probably the most creative/original HH songs I've heard since all the other songs are kind of what I expect from them.

Glad you liked it! Though Silver Strand comments made me go “wat”. That’s like one of the top songs on it! Either way, a 7/10 is good, and better than you probably expected to give a HH release

 

yeah I wasn't saying anything bad about the song, I just got distracted and caught myself not paying attention. Like I said last time I don't think they're that bad of a band they're just an easy target because they're predictable I think.

I’ve never been good at knowing the current gas prices. Like, either way I HAVE to get gas. If there are two gas stations right close to each other, then obviously I’ll pick the cheaper one (however if stations are that close usually they’re the same price)... but yeah I don’t know. I don’t really know the purpose of what I’m saying either.

 

He's right @Colin Your Enthusiasm their pizza is pretty good and cheap. Hotdog combo is a great value.

I have not. I started it in the car earlier but I wasn't in the mood so I stopped it quickly.

Still not feeling great. Hopefully tomorrow

 

Probably has a little bit to do with switching over to spring blend of gas but that's a very big increase.
