yankees are going to be good this year, their lineup is stacked. they made it within 1 game of the world series last year with a super young team and weren't even supposed to make playoffs.

I think they actually win the east this year and go deep again, not sure if they'll win it all though.

I'll root for all of your teams except when they play my teams.

 

What about when they play each other?

 

then I'll either not care or I'll root for the underdog or I'll alternate. sounds like so far most of the teams in here are not going to play each other a ton except for kidlightnings and bachnas.


or we can make a super elaborate schedule of which games I'll go for which teams.

 

My predictions for 2018 season

AL East: Yankees
AL Central: Indians
AL West: Astros

WC: Red Sox, Angels

Yankees over Red Sox
Indians over Astros

ALCS: Indians over Yankees

NL East: Nats
NL Central: Cubs
NL West: Dodgers

WC: Rockies, Brewers

Nats over Rockies
Dodgers Over Cubs

NLCS: Nats over Dodgers

World Series: Indians over Nats

I'm not thrilled with the lack of the Cardinals, but I'm not very optimistic about the season. I was shocked to see that ESPN has them #8 in the power rankings, maybe they'll shock me!

 

Phillies

 

I really haven't been following the NL much in terms of what teams have done in the offseason (except the Mets and the Phillies a bit who have grabbed some players/coaches from Cleveland).

The AL is going to be tough this year with the Yankees and Astros I would say as the main contenders (in addition to Cleveland). Boston is always pretty solid and I'm not sure what the other wild card team would be. I know the Angels are the popular pick, but I wouldn't mind seeing Minnesota get it again. The Mariners could be interesting too. It's hard to believe baseball is back tomorrow!!!

I liked the beginning of this post. had to unlike halfway through though.

I could see that happening though. at least for the AL I don't follow NL much at all.

 

The Cardinals fortunes rest on the performance of 4 young pitchers, one of whom is returning from Tommy John surgery, so if they overperform then you've got a good shot.

I like the Cardinals because they're perennial enemies of the Cubs.

 

The thing that always makes me laugh in hockey especially, is when canadian teams play american teams (I notice this in the playoffs more) and the crowd will chant usa usa usa yet over half of their team is actually canadians. Its funny tho ive never heard the crowd chant canada canada canada when a game is played in canada.

 

Damn ur really giving the Jays no chance eh. That division will be so strong its gonna be tough for sure.

I'm way more stoked for the NBA playoffs than the NHL playoffs. Never thought I'd say that but it's definitely the case this year.

Edit: Vegas Golden Knights will be v fun to watch tho!
