Every Good Friday I take off from work under religious citation and then subsequently disappoint Jesus by doing absolutely nothing spiritual in observation of the day.

 

joke is on the ex-boss this year, I'm unemployed.

At my pest control job we all had to work Saturdays except one guy. Apparently he told the boss he can't work Saturdays for religious reasons. Boss said "oh cool, didn't know you were 7th Day Adventist."
He said that he was not.
The guy wasn't even religious.

I was just talking about this the other day with a coworker. It kinda sucks that if someone says they can’t work a day for religious reasons then you can’t ask questions or anything. What if video games are my religion and I worship on Sundays??

 

You should worship Monday-Saturday too.

Working in the Grocery buisness Sundays are fucking huge, this guy I work with doesn't work Sundays because he goes to Church. I get annoyed because if I asked for that they would tell me no. I know I would get shit for it because I get shit for asking to have a Sunday off to spend time with the family and such. The worst part is he could come to work after Church, I know he's not going to Church all day.

 

Yeah, like, my boss at that job asked a lawyer what to do about it and he basically said it's not worth the legal fees for a small business to look into that.

 

I don't like to work Sundays for religious reasons but ive worked for multiple grocery stores that were kind enough to at least let me have sunday morning off and then come in after church.
I didn't like working Sundays but that's the job. It wouldn't be fair.

 

At least Costco paid time and a half on Sunday

 

I like their pizza

 

Their hot dogs are really good too

 

That's what I'm saying. Like I request a Sunday off and get denied. I had to miss Eagles games man. That's a big no no.
