Good afternoon, @awwgereee. How've you been?

 

Hey @KidLightning I've been alright. I'm feeling a bit better than yesterday so I'm going to get the stroller out, bundle the kids up, and go for a walk this aft because we all need the fresh air.

How about yourself?

 

That sounds good! I'm working from home today because my wife has an OB appointment and babysitters are expensive. The kids are down for their nap right now and we may go for a walk in the park this afternoon after they wake up so I have a chance to get out of the house today.

 

Also glad you're feeling better! I think my kids might be coming down with something, they keep waking up grumpy.

 

My son is at daycare today and I've been expecting a call from them the entire day saying that he's too fussy and to come pick him up. At this point, he's had 3 doses of the antibiotic (azithromycin) that he was prescribed and he doesn't have a fever or anything. He's just a bit cranky. He's been there for nearly 8 hours though and I haven't gotten a call so that's promising!

 

Yeah I get kind of crazy if I don't leave the house.
How is your wife? Are you all ready for the new baby??

I hope they aren't. I hate getting sick, but it's so much worse when it's the kids :(

Me too, especially when I'm used to a buffer between home and work in the morning, a break to get outside at lunch, and another buffer between work and home at the end of the day. But I'll survive!

We're mostly ready. The nursery is pretty much good to go, we have a car seat, and are close to settled on a name. The rest we can't really prepare for much.

Yeah, it's definitely worse for them. I hope it's just that they're growing since they've been eating like crazy.

I like this: It's not that you won't be happy again, you just won't be the same as you were before.

 

you can also do one of two things:

get as much sleep as you can now and enjoy it
or
you can start sleep depriving yourself in preparation for when the baby comes. that way it's not as bad since you're already used to not sleeping.

 

I share a bed with a woman who's 8-months pregnant. She wakes me up multiple times a night.

Yeah! And you will get it with the bonus tracks! Well worth it. I'm listening to the stream now (first time playing it as a 10 track version) certainly as good but I love those bonus tracks. I don't call them b-sides because they are so strong. They are certainly no throwaway tracks and the extended version seamlessly includes them in the track listing not just tacked on at the end like they are listed on that site.
