AMSP is the fucking GOAT. What a quietly brilliant record. The choral parts in Decks Dark and Present Tense are heavenly.

I dunno why, but it wasn’t until very recently that I realized you were a fellow Radiohead fan. Present Tense is G O A T

Guess i wasnt as vocal about it before but that all changed once i finally got tickets to see them. AMSP is seriously rising in the ranks for me and thats why Radiohead will always be a special band to me. I may not always love/be blown away by everything they put out right off the bat but there's always something that keeps me coming back for more. Mostly because of the feelings they conjure up in me (melancholy, sadness) Anyways AMSP is incredible. Piano, strings you name it its got it all. Def my go to Radiohead record lately.

Lol, I just realized what was going on in your avatar haha. That's good. Yeah man, when I first heard AMSP, I was like, "this is decent." But it has moved up the ranks as well. In Rainbows is my favorite and it will take a lot for that to be usurped, but AMSP and Kid A often fight for #2

    Dog with a Blog - Entry #42069

Welp. Tonight's the night. It's spring break. Nothin to do. Might as well be a dog of my word.

    @Larry David

    Bleachers - Strange Desire (2014)

    1. Wild Heart -
"I really wanna be grateful." Well, I know I'll be grateful when this is over, lol. Look, I'm not gonna "hate listen" to this album, I'm just gonna listen and take it in. But so far this little piano diddy sounds like if someone couldn't afford the rights to the Halloween theme song so they made a rip off version of it instead, though not as ominous. Try to listen to this song again with this mindset. Anyways, if this song is indicative of what's to come then this will be a very long listen for me. I do not enjoy this at all, but I press on.

    2. Rollercoaster - Strong 80's vibe on this one. I like a decent amount of 80's stuff, but something about this just feels hollow and leaves me wanting. This was a fear of mine, but I feel like I won't have much to say cause it's not like these songs are painfully bad or anything, they just do absolutely nothing for me so I'm left feeling like¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I'd fall asleep at this concert though.

    3. Shadow - This one seems a little more up my alley. The guitar work almost sounds like something I might hear on After Laught- o wait, the vocals just came in ruined it for me. Sounds like Rusted Root or some shit.

    4. I Wanna Get Better - Again, I don't really have any thoughts on this at all. I'm just kinda bored.

    5. Wake Me - The more relaxed vibe on this is a nice break from that anthemic stuff that preceded this. I could at least have this in the background at a party without it being too distracting. Please have some restraint and don't break out into anthem. It's not really anything I haven't heard before, but it's not offensive in any regard. Could picture this in a high school dance scene in a movie. It never exploded, so that was a nice surprise. I honestly had anxiety waiting for the anthem. Short an sweet.

    6. Reckless Love - Somewhat of a short filler track, but again, I'll take that over the stuff that was more in my face on the front half of the album. And it's super short which means we are one track closer to the end! I think this might be my favorite vocal delivery on this album so far. Just felt pretty natural and croony rather than an over the top performance.

    7. Take Me Away -The part at 1:39 is probably the best part on the album and the little bit that comes after sounds like it's about to enter some interesting territory, but then it doesn't do anything with that. shame. that sounded like it was about to get cool.

    8. Like a River Runs - Yo, is this the Chips Ahoy song!! Shit. Damn. It ain't. This is Rusted Root again.. Actually, it's getting a little techno now. Takin Rusted Root 2 da modern age.

    9. You're Still a Mystery - Umbawe

    10. I'm Ready to Move On - Poor man's Halloween ft. Yoko Ono. Seriously, pretty interesting cameo tho. I'm ready to move on too, Yoko. Only one more track.

    11. Who I Want You to Love - obligatory acoustic closing track

Welp. I did it. I was planning on listening to the second album tonight as well, but I don't have it in me. I'll have to leave that for another night. Overall, did I think this was awful? No. Did I think it was good? No. It's just kind of there. It's inoffensively there, but it is 100% not for me and truthfully, I'm not sure what aspect of these songs resonate with so many people over the age of 16. Like, in what category does this album fall into for you? Is it just something you put on when you want to turn off your brain and hear some fun pop songs? I suppose could understand that, although I didn't find these songs particularly original, catchy, or fun. And they certainly didn't resonate with me on any emotional level. I can say that the album sounded good so, it had that going for it, but I feel no need to return to this again. out of :beer::beer::beer: beers.

    Dog, out.

    Mine was kind of weird.

The only two people that I remember from it were our two Johns @littlejohn and @Kingjohn_654

We were in a movie theater but all sitting in different rows. @Kingjohn_654 sat in the row in front of @littlejohn but kept turning around and looking at @littlejohn throughout the entire movie.

    What does it all mean?

For some reason I was visiting @teebs41 and he said to meet him at his school. Instead of being a teacher though he was a student in high school. I realized this when I showed up and I saw him wearing a backpack. Very confused I said "teebs?" They didn't respond. From behind Teebs got my attention. I said wait who is that? "Oh that's my twin brother. He has special needs" Teebs asked if I wanted to go to his classes with him, and although I was very surprised to find out he was a student there I obliged.
@Kennedy was in the hall and I grabbed his attention. He said "adam I can't talk to you, Teebs is really upset you thought he was his special needs brother. It's very insulting"
I said Kennedy I have a special needs son I would never use that as an insult, and he is his twin , so can't you see why I thought he was Teebs?

That's about all I can remember!

Did you all know there were more words to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star?

When the blazing sun is gone,
    When it nothing shines upon,
Then you show your little light,
    Twinkle, twinkle, all the night.

Then the traveller in the dark,
Thanks you for your tiny spark,
He could not see which way to go,
If you did not twinkle so.

In the dark blue sky you keep,
And often through my curtains peep,
For you never shut your eye,
Till the sun is in the sky.

As your bright and tiny spark,
Lights the traveller in the dark,
Though I know not what you are,
    Twinkle, twinkle, little star.

One step, two step, electric slide
Red fish, blue fish, blow your mind
    Engine, engine, number nine
Mama’s gonna let you set the moon on fire
Jack be nimble, jack be quick
Jack wound up with a broken neck
    Humpty Dumpty, do your thing
Daddy’s gonna buy you a diamond ring

    Oh, it must be nice
To spend each day in paradise
You wonder why you’ve never failed
Your life’s a goddamn fairy tale
Your life’s a goddamn fairy tale

    Suzie steamboat, you’re so fine
Grant the wish I wish tonight
    Tinker tailor, whatcha' got?
Wheels on the bus are falling off
Pretty maids all in a row
Yes, sir, yes, sir three bags full
    Silver spoon at supper time
Four and twenty blackbirds, oh, so high

    Oh, it must be nice
To spend each day in paradise

Your life’s a goddamn fairy tale
