I always loved this one and the celebration at the end. Darren MccArthy was such a likeable guy/player.

 

Everything about that 2001 season was incredible. Making it through the final 2 rounds of the playoffs without Peter Forsberg (arguably the league's top player at that point) is just unreal.

So is "icing" just another word for offsides?

 

Icing is when you clear the puck from your side of the red line all the way down the ice. It's a rule to prevent cherry picking, at least until your team has possession in the other team's zone.

 

offsides is to prevent cherry picking... icing is to prevent teams from dumping the puck down the ice anytime they are in trouble
