My Avs are solidifying playoff position out of nowhere, shoutout to my homie Mikko Rantanen with 74 points through 69 games so far in his second NHL season, what a nasty stud

 

Were you a fan of The Nordiques when they were around? Whats the story behing you cheering for the Avs? Just curious to know thats all

 

I wasn't at all, I was a math nerd as a kid and I didn't get into hockey until 97-98 when I became interested in stats. The first thing that appealed to my young brain was the colour scheme of the Avs uniforms/logo (still love it), and the second thing and the clincher was Peter Forsberg. Fortunately I got to watch some great years.

 

Always loved Forsberg but personally I prefer my man Joe Sakic. Cool that he's the GM now. AVS in the mid 1990's early 2000s were really fun to watch especially their playoffs rivarly with Detroit.

 

Nordiques had the best color scheme/logo ever

Avs jerseys have always been sick too but fuck them

Personally i love that stuff. Looking forward to next year when they bring back the 3rd jerseys. Some teams might even change their current ones actually.

Nice didnt know you were a Habs fan too! Yeah those whites were sweet. I loved the collar they had in the 90s when they last won the cup. I love going year by year just to see the different changes. Site is impressive and very detailed and kept up to date too.

 

They were always a 2nd team to watch because I fell in love with their jerseys as a kid.

I think I have 11 authentic NHL jerseys. I stumbled on to one of these beauties a few years back for $7 on ebay.
