The Before Sunrise trilogy is fantastic. That will get my vote. But also: Star Wars Back to the Future Toy Story
You scared me for a second lol. The Bourne trilogy is my favorite ever, the Renner one I give it about five minutes every time it's on tv before I'm like "nope nope, you don't exist to me" haha.
interesting that he described Toy Story as "the most beloved franchise of all time". If it is even top 5 it is definitely after Star Wars, Harry Potter, and probably LOTR. right?
I own those but haven't watched them yet. I have such high expectations that I've been waiting to find the right person to watch them with, haha
I agree with Back to the Future, I liked the original X-Men trilogy, The Godfather trilogy. All of these have probably been mentioned already
I love the original Star Wars trilogy, but pound for pound I think Indiana Jones is better (minus the deplorable 4th film).
While the first film is amazing as a stand-alone, I still really like the entire Matrix trilogy as a whole.
Movies: Star Wars OT and LOTR probably take the cake in regards to the level of quality throughout all three films. I've never seen a Back to the Future or Die Hard movie though. Evil Dead film trilogy is maybe in my top 5, along with Indiana Jones. Videogames: Gears of War is pretty consistent throughout, which is impressive considering how impactful the first one was on the entire industry. I want to include Uncharted in this, but it seems like the overall arch of the story is intended as a four-part series. I have a feeling whatever Fumito Ueda's three fantasy/dreamscape games - Ico, SOTC, TLG - gets coined as will be my most loved trilogy.
Lord of the Rings, definitely. For games, the first three Halos and the Fable trilogy. Assassin's Creed is pretty solid as well.
