The idea of thinking the Hannibal TV show is better than Silence Of The Lambs in any way, shape, or form is making me cringe
Demme is a fantastic director and Ted Levine was great but Hannibal the show has it beat in a lot of ways
I really want to re-watch the pilot to take everything in again but there's so much other tv to watch/catch up on. There are just too many shows.
I've been meaning to do the same. I'll probably wait until Sunday so it will be fresh in my mind before the second episode comes on.
This show has a BSG/Ex Machnia/Blade Runner feel all in one and that's a good thing. My girlfriend really loved this and one of her favorite shows is Lost too. I keep trying to get her to watch Battlestar Galactica...which to me... if you love those, how can you not love BSG? If she doesn't love my favorite show as much as I do, we're done (Jk )
My girlfriend said she probably won't be watching this anymore after the pilot. She wasn't really a fan of how unsettling it is (she doesn't really watch shows like this). I was a sad panda.
Did you just watch the mini series pilot? If so I can see why. Show gets way deeper and you grow an attachment to every character. This is from someone who put off Lost forever, then finally gave it another shot. (I did like it from the get-go though) Yeah I heard that from some people which is why I don't think it will get as big as Thrones like some other people think. I hope it sticks around for a while though.
Westworld Episode 2 Released Early in Advance of Presidential Debate No, it's due to the debate on Sunday.
second episode was ok, was mostly set up, but I liked what it was setting up. still much more entertaining than another show discussed in this thread.
Yeah that was it. It's technically the pilot and 3ish hours long. Mini series turned a lot of people off and I can see why watching now compared to back when it premiered. It's not a huuuuge deal to miss the mini series pilot. It's just all set up for the premise of the show and you really don't gain an attachment to any particular character early on. You can get kinda lost during the first episode of S1 but it's not hard to catch on. The same vibes I got with Lost I got with BSG. It's more than just a sci fi show that was on SyFy. It's politics. It's war. It's religious but in a different way. It actually changed the way I look at the universe. It's amazing characters and all around good acting/cast. The music. I could go on.
Was Evan Rachel Wood the girl with the scarred face involved in the robbery in the first episode? Wasn't sure when I first saw it and the sneak peek after the second episode is making me think it was.
