I somehow missed that HBO took Westworld off streaming a few years ago. Was planning to do a rewatch and was about to drop $75 on the series when I remembered the library probably has it for free! (As much as I used the library for books, I never think to rent a show or movie from there)
When the final season was coming out, my wife and I were behind a bit. We finally started and watched the first episode, then it was cancelled, so my wife didn't want to finish. I never went back and finished it, but I wanted to. For all it's flaws I really did like the show, and I remember liking the first episode of the season as well. Maybe I'll finish it up soon...
For a while there If you had HBO through your cable provider you could still watch it for free on demand. Now it looks like you probably have to pay for it. So dumb. Season 4 was a bit easier to follow than 2 and 3 iirc. I liked it. It was weird and not where I wanted the series to go, but I very much would like to see the story finished
Love and miss this show. I understand the criticisms, but I always felt it was at least ambitious in its failings.
Teddy's death scene in Season 2 is magnificent fucking television and no one can convince me otherwise.
As Steve said, for all its flaws I really did like the show. My friend and I were hooked for so long.
I mean, if you only watch TV shows that end on their own terms then sure, there's no reason... Personally, that's not a requirement for me to watch a show, otherwise I would never watch anything until then entire series has run
I feel like season 4 settled a lot of storylines, no? It's been a long time since I've watched but I felt like by the end of it we were basically....I don't know...I don't want to say at a reset, but kind of an endgame of sorts?
