Really didn't think my thoughts on hannibal would be such a controversial opinion lol but I don't want this to be like my Hotelier opinions so lets keep the hannibal talk where it belongs.... in the tras- I mean the hannibal thread
Pilot was real good. I still feel ashamed I didn't watch it live after looking forward to it for so long, but eh. I'll be tuning in live every week from here on out. Can't wait to see how it all unfolds. This will be a definite mind fuck.
....I didn't like Hannibal and I'm a Fuller fan and Silence of the Lambs is one of my favorite movies. I tried. Cast was decent. But never stuck with me. I'd rather just watch the movies than watch the show at that point. Turns me off more that it got cancelled. Idk. Wasn't my cup of tea.
it's not rude to not like a tv show all hannibal fans please go to where you belong... the garbag- I mean the hannibal thread
This was probably posted before but I'm just coming across it so here it is: Showrunners explain premiere episode
Just further underscores how brilliant of a premiere this was, how brilliant Joy and Nolan are (I guess I'm willing to forgive Joy for never having seen Jurassic Park), and how brilliant this show has the potential to be. I particularly loved Joy's answers about the Man in Black. I can't wait for the next episode.
Anybody else kind of worried that this show won't keep its audience moving forward? It had HBO's most-watched premiere since True Detective season 1, but this is a much more cerebral show than something like Game of Thrones, which is obviously the channel's biggest hit right now, and even that first season of True Detective. I just want it to go on for as long as Joy and Nolan are able to sustain it.
anthology show has become such a buzzy term lol, that's not a very common thing with shows but the success of a few have made everyone question whether a show is like that
We can all agree that Manhunter is the best Hannibal Lecter related project, right? With Hannibal the show a close second, maybe even tied for 1st? Then Silence and then everything else is garbage?
Love the idea of that trinity aspect of points of view. How you identify through the three different lenses and how that bridge is gapped. That EW article is definitely worth reading if you haven't read it yet.
