Season 1 was pretty good. Season 2 was CHORE to get through. Wanted to quit so many times. Didn't even bother with Season 3. Had no clue they had plans to continue with this.
Season 2 was absolutely a chore, but season 3 was a little more streamlined and had some interesting concepts, plus it opened up the world a bit.
I don't know if I thought Season 2 was a chore, but I did find myself confused as to what was going on. I do remember there being some REALLY good episodes though. Kiksuya was great. Season 3, I originally wasn't sure I was going to watch because the futuristic setting didn't appeal to me....but I did end up enjoying it. Once again, slightly confused as to what was going on at times, but still interesting. I think I enjoy being in the Delos park worlds more than the real world TBH
I loved season 1 of this and it definitely could've just ended there. I probably shouldn't've watching season 2 stoned out of my gourd. Shit was way too hard to follow as is. Shogunworld was sick as hell tho. I'd love for them to just go to more parks like that. It looks like s4 will have some 1920s-30s gangster stuff so that should be interesting. I think I finally gave up when they introduced those big red mechs in S3. Really lost me when they started focusing more on the outside world. I think its at its best when they contain things within the parks.
Sweet. The end of June. That will be here before you know it. I like the whole show. It was always interesting. I think I liked season 3 the best out of everything so far. Interested to see where this goes.
I really need to watch Season 3 at some point. People commenting about disliking Season 2 makes me want to say that Teddy's death scene is one of the best scenes of anything that I've watched.
Decided to try and throw this on in the background as a semi-rewatch, and it's so insanely stupid that I'm paying for HBO on my cable package and this show's first two seasons aren't included for free. Like, WTF? I assume I could fire up my xbox and try to use the HBOMax app to watch it, but if I ahve to do that instead of just using ondemand on my cable, that's dumb...and also I don't even know if it's on there for free.
10 years ago you would have sounded insane that you were trying to watch a HBO show on your Xbox. Still sounds pretty insane now, but alas
Even more insane that I have to consider that as an option because the cable I actually pay for to watch TV, HBO onDemand doesn't offer it for free on there!
I’ve watched all three seasons of this show and I will have no idea what’s going on here. Is there a good like recap video that’s a few mins long
HBO usually runs decent recap videos before season premieres, but yeah I also have zero recollection of the last season lmao but will watch probably anyways
Searched for an Umbrella Academy recap the other day and this channel came up. They just dropped Westworld recaps. I’ll probably watch the S1-S3 one since there’s so much going on in this show.
I think it's because of the seer amount of TV there is now, but I rarely remember anything about ANY shows after a year or more between seasons, it's rough out there
I can’t imagine still watching this show. I gave up halfway through season 2 because it’s a giant cluster fuck.
is it honestly worth it? It was a long time ago but I just remember thinking to myself “what the hell is going on”?
Crap, I was being facetious. But okay, I'll answer honestly. For this show, plot is sort of secondary to me. I'm moreso in it for the performances, particularly from Evan Rachel Wood, Jeffrey Wright, Thandiwe Newton, and Tessa Thompson. And I'm just constantly fascinated by the worldbuilding. It's admittedly kind of hard to follow all the details, but I do get the general gist of things, and that's enough to feel for the characters.
