Yeah I'm not sure how I feel about this show anymore. I loved the Genre episode personally, but that last one was pretty meh to me. Idk. I miss season 1 and I don't think they'll ever come close to that again.
Really liked this one. Dolores vs Maeve is great. Wish they'd shared more scenes together this season. Looking forward to the finale. The bts featurettes they've been showing after each ep are cool.
Think people are gonna revisit this season down the road and appreciate it. It’s essentially a different show but I’m really enjoying the world building outside the parks. All the little bread crumbs of geopolitical developments and the impact of technology on society were getting are super interesting to me
Much better than I anticipated but weak sauce on Maeve and Dolores. I really just don’t care for Aaron Paul at all so this might be my last ride.
....I really wasn’t expecting Delores’ arc to be the one I ended up most satisfied with when this season ended. Seeing her give up the murder-bot rage streak she was on at the very end was nice. Other than that, I’m not super satisfied with the finale because it left me with way more questions than answers. Charlores and the Willbot, Bernard, Maeve, and Aaron Paul all left me just wondering what’s up. At least it seems like the endgame for Maeve still seems to be that she’ll get to be with her daughter at some point
Great finale. I'm glad Bernard had that nice moment in the middle there. Cool set pieces. Really liked how it all came together in the end, especially the final moments between Dolores and Maeve.
So what's the general consensus here? I really liked Season 1, but Season 2 left me feeling like it was getting needlessly convoluted.... Is it worth jumping back in for this most recent season or am I still going to be left feeling frustrated?
try rewatching season 2. I had the exact same feeling with Season 2 because somehow I never really figured out the different motivations for what the bots were doing and after rewatching it I liked it a lot more. I would say this season is mostly less confusing than season 2 with the exception of Bernard and William. And their stories end up pretty confusing haha.
Ya all the Bernard/Stubbs/William stuff feels sidelined and wasted (except for the finale), but the rest of the season was pretty straightforward compared to the first two. Although, I really like the scene where we're reintroduced to Stubbs. I think Luke Hemsworth gave a pretty great performance there, and he's pretty fun to watch overall in this role.
My god why did they do so many physical fight scenes with Dolores and Maeve this season. They’re all so laughably bad.
I feel like season 3 was so-so overall. However, I am intrigued as to where it might go from here. Hopefully the writers do right with it.
I also rewatched s2 before getting into 3. when 2 first aired, i lost interest a few episodes in but enjoyed it a lot more toward the end. s3 also got better toward the end. come to think of it, thats kind of how i feel about s1 too haha. its a show that requires some patience and i have plenty of that.
I think the next season should just be Dolores and Caleb as Leela and Fry just exploring the futuristic world and getting into wacky adventures.
Idk if the S4 trailer leaked, but I'm not seeing it on the official socials. Anyways, here it is. Edit: updated with official link. Guess it was unlisted.
Coooolio - I can never remember what the fuck happened each time this comes back around but oh well lol
