okay this episode seems to get everything back into order a little, a little more clarity and has given the season a path. Btw I can't believe that Thandie Newton is almost 50!!!????
I really enjoy this for the cast and their performances mostly, the plot not so much. Watching the first two seasons I was constantly confused with all the time jumping and not knowing what was real or what was taking place in a simulation. I'm hoping after these new episodes, which were a lot easier to follow, that they continue to stay away from the "multiple points in a time line" plots or unreliable narration. That stuff can get so tiring to keep up with honestly. I'm really enjoying getting to see the outside world and all the possibilities it opens up. Todd... I mean Aaron Paul is also a huge positive addition for me.
Theories as to who is inside Charlotte Hale? Martin Connells? Teddy seems like the most logical person to be inside Martin.
Is this season good? I only watched season 2 Episode 1, could barely get through episode 2, and just somehow made it through to watching just the last episode of last season and it waS boring as shit. Season 1 was so damn good...
Ep 2 was cool. Maeve is such a great character, and it's fun seeing her try to solve the puzzle she's found herself in. Nice to see Stubbs back haha. Him and Bernard make an interesting pairing.
So I’ve been binge watching and I’m up to episode 8, season 2. Easily my favorite episode of the series, I kinda love that they had an episode centered around ghost nation. Also loved how majority of the dialogue was in Lakota and no white washing of the tribe.
The score was great in this ep. Love this Delos location too. It's eerie but also pretty. I have to imagine those riot control robots will come into play at some point down the line. Judging by the preview, next week should be interesting.
Still haven’t mustered up the energy to start Season 3. Is it worth it? I’ve just completely lost interest in seeing the story continue
I was in your boat and I’m glad I’m watching if for anything else a distraction. So far I really enjoyed episode 2. 1 and 3 focused on Delores in the real world still on her revolution kick and I’m not as into that aspect
Recappables: Westworld pod? That blew my mind. To expand on it - Charlotte is now a copy of original Dolores and Dolores is now just standalone Wyatt - I think.
def a little bummed that it was revealed Cudi's character is dead, lol. Hopefully we get some flashbacks with him
Since I've been looking for a distraction and want to try and enjoy Season 3 more, I've spent the last few days rewatching Season 2 to try and understand what the hell is going on. It has helped me understand for sure. But go to Kiksuya last night and goddamn what a great episode. I remember 9 and 10 being super confusing still after that one the first time around, hopefully it won't be as bad this time.
Definitely made more sense on this go around. I know we were in the middle of our cross country road trip when we watched the finale at a friends place in Portland, so maybe I was distracted and was on my phone or something. Def feel like I have a much better feel for what the Forge was and etc. And on that note, I’m def hoping Maeve gets to choose to join them in the Forge after the business with Delores gets settled. Though I had forgotten about the fate of her entire crew. Bummer
