People compare this TWD?? Really? I find this to be leagues above that dreck. I fucking love this show, and it tickles me in all the sci-fi concepts I love. I know some people are annoyed by how little answers get revealed every episode as more open up, but my favorite kind of shows are the ones where you're CONSTANTLY theorizing and comparing ideas and analysis. Super happy it's been renewed for Season 2. The new Game of Thrones y'all. Plus the acting is top-notch.
FYI, I only mentioned The Path because @michaelvalerijr hosts a podcast dedicated to it. Also, I hope The Path comes back soon too. One of my favorite new shows this year.
It's not a masterpiece by any stretch, and has some eye-rollingly bad parts (specifically the terrible music) but I'm having a lot of fun watching it.
I think I like this slightly better, but mostly only because I find artificial intelligence more interesting than cults. But I AM excited for The Path to return!
I love this show. I knew that twist was coming (I blame people's theories, even though I kinda figured it out). But the death after I was surprised by. But is Bernard based on someone I wonder? Also, much better seeing Anthony Hopkins ruthless. Guy can be evil.
This show is fine I don't love or hate it especially I'm kind of shocked it inspired such strong reactions.
Finally caught up tonight. Been behind for so long. I'm really enjoying the show a lot, though it isn't perfect. Some of the plots are less interesting than others. But just watching Hopkins on screen is always a marvel.
Bernard is/was Arnold. The interrogation scenes with Dolores take place in the basement of that secret house/lab, and I think those quick scenes are the second timeline (30 years ago), and not the William storyline. Also, I do not think at all he's making a clone of Theresa. Ford made comments in a previous episode how people like Theresa come and go and alludes to being able to make it look like an accident will make her disappear or whatever. I think he does typical Ford where he's coy, but still kinda obvious, about the fate of Theresa.
my problem with this theory is that it assumes no one involved at the company knew what arnold looked like besides ford, which seems completely unreasonable
biggest issue with this show is that i don't care about a single character on this show lol the intrigue is pretty much all drawing me back in, everything else is fine lost worked because the first season was a masterpiece in character work and got everyone super invested in a lot of characters, this show hasn't gotten even close to that
elsie is the only one i care about bc she's the only one im convinced is human, and she's probably dead lol
He has said that Arnold has been completely wiped from Westworld's history. A lot of the day to day employees look/are young so there's definitely a chance they would've never seen him.
Is there a chance Delos didn't invest until after Arnold? Also board members like Theresa came and went.
if the theory that william and logan are part of the family looking to buy westworld (delos) holds up than that's pre-Arnold's "death" and they likely wouldn't take over until after that death, so yeah, there is a chance they didn't invest until after and do not know
